So I have finally bought an RDA, the pulse 24 and a Pulse BF 80w regulated..

Can anyone advise on the best battery / charging unit?!

Fogstar is unfortunately sold out on the INR20700s and the vapcell version. (15% off today!)
18650.uk not much better stock for the same type of cells..

Would anyone recommend these listings from the bay

Thanks guys

I’ve also just ordered a pulse 80w and wondering if all 20700 batteries are suitable for it or is there anything I should look out for, primarily, from a safety point of view?

I’d get these when they’re back in stock

I’ve got the Gold Vapcells (same battery under the wrap) they’re really good.

I also use these if I’m vaping around 35-40w, any higher I just use the ones above

Just a heads up on the INR20700S I have 6 of these, excellent batteries in general but....

The wraps are a little too uneven and thicker so the panels on the Pulse Mech won't fully close only by a tiny bit as it's well under 1mm but they perform perfectly.
(Fogstar branded wraps fit perfectly no issues at all - love em)

For the Pulse 80 however there is a bigger problem, these batteries have issues, pop the batteries in and the mod powers up, sometimes when you put the panels on it powers off a lot, keeps rebooting, rotating the battery often helps, at first I thought it was the wraps due to rotating them and the door magnets so I put insulation tape over the magnets, made no difference.

I have recently found it is the battery loosing connection between the positive post, the positive end is slightly deeper than other batteries and a slight taper, the panels and outer wrap aren't the problem, if the battery is not in the perfect position the device will have the same problem panels on or off, it keeps loosing connection as the positive post hits the positive end wrap.

I could say it's a Pulse issue but Fogstar branded wraps, and iJoy 5 leg batteries don't have this issue at all.

It''s only the Pulse 80 that has this issue, they work fine in other mods but thought it worth mentioning, I still highly rate Fogstar and will be ordering their proven branded wraps in future.

To answer your original question, I would get a couple of these and you will have confidence that you don't need to worry about your batteries:

(I've just shoved a couple in my basket - still using the older version but it's lasted so long and always performs well)

Battery charger wise, the Nitecore is superb, but I am glad I invested the extra dosh in buying the 4 cell version, again more money but comes in handy if your mod collection grows, but it's a good choice if money is an issue.
(bear in mind the fast charge only works with a single battery)

As above, using the Fogstar 20700A's and the regulated Pulse 80 you shouldn't have any safety issues as long as you look after them,

Many thanks for the advice, have ordered the fogstars and a charger. Good price, especially with the discount code.
