22awg kanthal keeps snapping

So I picked up son 22awg whist in Cornwall the other week got home and tried to straighten a price in the drill and after about 4 revolutions it snapped ao I tried again and again still to no avail any ideas as to why this is happening or is it just user error getting a bit frustrated wit it as I wanna use it as core wire but its a pig when its all bent. Any advise would be appreciated

22 gauge is pretty thick wire so god knows why it would be snapping hopefully someone whos had this experience can help u out

Only spin it for a few seconds in the drill when straightening it out mate. Do it to much and it snaps, what make is the wire you purchased pal? Kanthal is normally pretty hardy stuff and in 22 gauge it should be rather durable. Just take it easy when straightening it out do if for a second check on how straight it is and just keep going till it's straightened out. I have also found that when straightening you don't need to yank on the wire really hard just pull it enough to keep tension on it.

If u what best wire money can buy then it's HOT WIRE from custom vape only, or stealthvape, crazy wire company.

From vape hq in Newquay that's all it says on the reel other than kanthal no rating or anything so I'm guessing its shit wire will go to stealth vape and get some I think cheers for the help guys will just use what I have as a round wire. It seems really brittle as for tensioning I thought of that and tried different tensions on the wire. No need to apologize about telling me this stuff as other people may read this and it will help them as well. Vape on guys and cheers for the help
