Hi folks, I've been vaping a while now, started on an ego, then got a lava tube, now I have just got a brass sigelei 19E. But I would love to be reassured about which way the battery goes! Seems like a simple question, but I have seen video reviews stating the battery goes positive down, but I have read a huge argument about how dangerous it is. I can't seem to find a solid answer.

As this is my first mech mod I would like to make sure I do it the right way and don't put myself off them by making a silly mistake.

It won't make any difference which way it goes unless you have a kick in there. :)

Ahh champion, thanks for that.

I can get back to vaping like a boss now.

I thought I might as well resurrect this thread rather than start a new one.
I have another question about the sigelei 19.

mine is the updated version with no magnets, but the button keeps coming loose, has anyone had the same issue? And what did you do to fix it, baring in mind the button acts as the conductor.

Get some pliers on it and if it still comes loose use some threadlock :)

I tried pliers but didn't want to damage the pin. And won't thread lock effect how well it conducts?

Just don't cover all the threads and it will be fine :)

Edit or remove the pin and roll up some copper wire nice and tight then place it in the threaded hole and screw the pin tight.

I replaced the spring with the cone-shaped spring from the bottom cap of a zmax. The narrow top part grips the pin and keeps it from spinning, the wider bottom part sits between the delrin and the locking ring making contact with the button. No more spinning button, no more misfires.
