Hi all. Looking for your kind expertise. I have not built anything as yet but my Aegis Boost has leaky stock pods. So I am looking at the RBA. Are there places that make pre made coils for this RBA? Bearing in mind that I don't even have a tool kit or ohm meter (are those the right terms?), so I thought pre made coils would make it a little less daunting for me. Thank you!

I bought the 3.7 ml (I think that was size) spare pods from France on another order and haven’t had any leaking on mine using stock coils. I don’t use it much but just had a look and been sitting week without leaking.

As far as I know the rba comes with 3 coils and some cotton. You will still need wire cutters to cut the leads. Note, it is an rdta so may leak from top if left on it’s side for a while due to the wick channels.

Don’t think they sell coils for the rba themselves. You can buy other coils - I would look for higher ohm Claptons for direct to lung around .60 - .80 ohm. Simple wire for mouth to lung - prob 27 or 28 gauge ni80. I would stick with 2.5mm inner diameter of premade. Vandy vape mtl claptons at .7 would prob work well for mtl and restricted direct.

If you are going to do this you should get a simple vape toolkit which includes a cooling tool.

here is video showing it being built.

Very late, my apologies, but thank you so much for your thoughtful reply!

In the end, I got the RBA but couldn't get it to wick right. Fast forward to today, I regularly rebuild now including making my own simple round wire coils! Ahhh vaping...

You think? :18:
But I'm glad you've sussed it.

The Boost RBA (RDTA) is all I use on mine, it's just superb for MTL and no leaking from top or bottom, the included coils are okay but I find 28AWG plain Kanthal round wire works better.

I think it's the best pod RBA I've used and transformed the boost from a leaky bed wetter to a cracking little MTL vape, it's just so easy to build wick and maintain.
The flavour will never be quite as good as the stock boost coils though.

Must dig mine back out but I recall i couldn't get it to wick very well and ended up using it as a dripper.

Haha thanks!

For a RDTA/RBA, I'm using the one for the aspire nautilus prime x. It's a great rdta, so forgiving in the wicking. Paired with superfine FCs and the flavour is on point

Maybe get the adaptor and pick up your own dedicated sub tank ora different RTA?
Thanks, I've actually shifted my boost and all its accessories since.

Had a steep learning curve in 2020, now into mtl rbas and just got a bridge. I am officially in a rebuilding rabbit hole lol
