Hi all. This is a strange one.
Was using the Zeus on the Solo no problems, battery needed a charge so put the Zeus on another mod. All good. But put the Zeus back on the Solo and "no coil detected". Take it off, put it on again, new coil question, tap for no, " no coil" do it again, new coil question, tap yes, still no coil message. Clean everything, same. Check the coil, clean it all, same.
Now put Zeus on these, Wismec RX 20700, Innokin Oceanus and Smoant Naboo. Works on them all no worries. Put an Owl, Scion and Naboo tank on the Solo and all work fine. Put the Zeus on the Aegis X, "no coil detected". All connections on everything cleaned. The only combo that wont work is the Zeus on the Geek mods. Even with a new coil in it! Cleaned the tank clean as a whistle but nope nothing changes.
How on earth is that possible?

Did you take the batteries out of the Aegis, just to reset the electronics. The old "turn it off then turn it on again principle"?

Hi, yeah, forgot to mention taken out and left from 9.30 am till 4.30 pm.
I can only think, just a wild guess, that something has changed somehow, someway, contact wise with the tank that is nothing at all problem wise to the other mods, but maybe it just takes a tiny oompteenth of a difference with the Geeks to mean the difference between registering a contact and not. Im using the Zeus right now no worries on the Naboo mod. The Solo and X both still say no coil.
Everything about it looks and checks out fine and works perfectly on all the others, just before tried it on the Espion Tour Mod and was fine on it. The Geeks must have a hair trigger for reading the coils with just the minutest variance making the difference. Thats all I can think of. Tanks never been dropped, knocked over or anything to suggest it could be from physical damage.
Very odd. I did before whilst having a search read of some getting them and the tank with the installed coil not reading. This and the other coil isnt the supplied ones, its had several used in it.
That it still works spot on in the other mods means I'm not overly worried, if it wouldn't register in everything I would though.
Trust me though to get something that does something unusual. :sleepy:

Have you tried adjusting the 510 pin slightly to make sure it is connecting to the Solo.

Just so others know. I went to see if there was anything about it on Geek Vapes site and the issues are still there months on. You get immediately redirected to scam, malware stuff. I had to completely shut down my phone and restart it as it locked me in.
Stay away from the Geek Vape site.

Part 2
Not wanting to give up on why, I gave the Zeus another go on both the Solo and the X.
This is what happens. I put the tank on either mod, turn them on and "no coil detected". Now with the mod still on I start to undo the tank, get to a half turn undone and I get the " new coil/old coil" message. I choose either and it will fire up, the tank is very loose on them both of course but it is firing up. Screw it back down and "no coil detected". Undo by half a turn and it reads it again. The pin cannot be pushed up on the tank, it is where it is. So its the connection somehow between the tank 510 and the mods. Im still baffled but have narrowed it down somewhat. :sleepy:

I nearly said yesterday on this that it seems like the pin on the tank is pushing the pins on the mods down too far.
I've had this before and the only fix is to put them on different mods.

Yeah, strange isn't it, they obviously are but fancy that, a tank made by the same company doing it to it's mods. It does have a longer 510 than most too when you compare it to others. Oh well, at least its fully usable on the others.
