I've always preferred solid wicks, no real logic behind it-I just can never find anything to wrap the mesh around when I need it :)

I have been using hollow wicks, but I wouldn't really want to express a preference, as only my first ever one was solid and I don't really have a frame of reference.

Solid for me too. Silica would feel like being in a purely platonic relationship with Holly Willoughby, such a damn waste. Get all jiggy, down and dirty......mmmmmmmm........I find solid to give you a much better flavour, more vapour, better throat hit, and tastes 'cleaner' if that makes sense.

Solid it is then

I'm using a hybrid wick atm in my aga. I was having loads of trouble with hot spots and this seems to work well for me.
Tanks almost empty though now so going to 're wick and try a solid ss this time

Ermmmm I have to change my mind now lol

Just made a hollow ss wick and kanthal ribbon coil and this thing kicks ass compared to what was using before.

I use the dual ss mesh wick making a thinner first and then inserting into the larger wick making a compromise of the straw and solid keeping a small hole through to help on capillary action. Gives a good density and tasting vape that is never dry or burnt taste.
