Aga t2 woes

I love my aga t2 to death,flavour and vape are amazing BUT Once Im half way down the tank I get big dry hits. I know I can tilt it and that gets me 3/4 way through a tank but is there any way to make it wick better? Im using 400 mesh straw atm. I have had no luck whatever with top coil silica wick, to the point where I have bought a protank(too airy) and two Davides(Heavenly) However the aga when its going well is amazing and I would love to be able to improve the wicking so I could more or less finish the tank. I do have some 2mm ss wire but I was getting shorts with it, any ideas?

have you tried a silica wick embedded inside the mesh wick?

Works wonders... also make sure you have a good grade mesh (i find marine grade doesnt go so brittle) and you can ox it without it crumbling, then wrap the silica wick inside it

also,,, the braided mesh... um.. ss cord... shyte I cant remember what its called, I was sent some but have yet to try it, apparently thats really good too...

Oh! Another thing to help, roll your wicks at an angle, dont go with the grain of the mesh, that helps the capillary effect sciency thingy majiggy!

SS rope still requires tilting but I don't have a problem with doing that. Mesh is the one thing I'm yet to try - I'd like to but find what I have works for me.

even though i have yet to invest in said atty, from all the reading i was thinking along the lines of adding a silica core so nice to have some confirmation of that!

Never thought about rolling the mesh at an angle but to me makes sense. Will def be giving that a go!

never though of rolling the ss at an angle either, will give that a try. I don't try to empty my rsst though I get it half way down then top up, but I only use one flavour in that atty all the time.

did see a video the other day where it was recommended to cut up from the bottom so you had 2 tails, not tried it so see yourself

I use a S/S wire into aga. I then wrap silica round the top of it. I then use flat Kanthal ribbon around silica with 3-4 wraps.

Wicks amazing right down to last drop and clouds of vapour with amazing taste.

I will always use this method as tried all others and this is by far the best.

Silica also soaks up any juice that gets into top chamber.

Only downside is gunks up silca and I do a dry burn clean after every tank full.
