AMMIT Dual Coil - Problem

Hi,
I am new to RTAs and this ammit dual coil is my first one running at 0.17ohm.
Currently using 2 Demon Killer Staple Staggered Fused Clapton coils (each 0.3ohm) but I am facing couple of issues.


1. Lack of flavor, I have changed the positioning of the coils themselves couple of times rewicked it number of times but every single time flavor is lack luster compared to the TFV8 Baby beast. (Brought it to the local vape shop, they wicked the cotton for me and even then the flavor was 60% compared to the baby beast).

2. Non-stop spitting. As I have mentioned it before I have changed the coil position couple of times (closer to the air flow on the sides, lower and higher) even if I stuff it with cotton (flavor is non-existent at that point. feels like an after taste rather than flavor) the hot juice just enter my throat and burns my tongue. I used different wattage from 50 to 100 with no avail.
Spitting does increase if i use more wattage tho. Tho vaping this ammit on lower watts really diminishes the flavor.

I did not have any major leaking problems only couple of instances where i added minimal amount of cotton.

Is this normal? Please let me know if I can do anything about these issues.

If someone is using ammit dual coil setup, could you please provide screenshots of how you position your coils?

Hi, i'm quite new to rtas too, so this might mot be much help to you. What i found with the Ammit dual was that it wasn't till i started vaping it around 75 W that the flavour really started to come through. That was with 2 Geekvape caterpillar tracks @ .35 ohms each, which evens out roughly around .17 for the pair. I'm not used to a warmer vape, so it took a few nervous draws to get used to the fact i wasn't going to blow my face off. I also found i didn't need so much cotton as i had first imagined, trimming it to just about the bottom of the juice channel window. Combing it out so it thinned out a bit and was nice and fluffy/loose. The only thing to watch for as far as leaking went was ensuring it was clear of the 2 outside air holes where you tuck the cotton into the juice channel . I thought folks might be exaggerating about the intensity of flavour. But nope. Up in a higher range of watts, it's definitely there
