Hi
I am having a problem with burnt taste all the time when using new vivi nova tanks 3 in total , I am using a vamo set at 4.3 v reading 2.5 ohms on my original tank and it is great . Can any one advise as to what to do when I use a new tank or a new wick as I think I must be doing something wrong I am getting so frustated and the taste is really horrible it is putting me off and after 9 weeks without a roll up I dont want to start again.
Cheers
Gordon

If its just to begin with and better after a tank full or so, its just the "bedding in" period, I find keeping the volts/power low for the period helps

no I have tried three tanks now and still the same could it be i am not doing something at the sart
cheers

When you "fire" are you seeing the coils glowing red under the silicone cap?

If so, the old tilt a roo as whit says should sort you out a treat.

Are they "store bought" heads or hand made?

They are store bought and yes I see the coil glowing red , Just tried what you advised and it seems better thanks alot

this sometimes helps me when i buy some devices and maybe the quality is variable and I get burnt taste/dry hits etc

top caps..the silicone bits...pull it up so it is about 2 or 3mm above where it should be. Then screw the lid on, but leave it about half a thread away from fully tight. The vivi's and ce5 and so on all have washers that do the sealing job, so it isnt necessary to have the lid on "proper tight".

OK, so what we have done is lifted the silicone cap a bit, and then used the lid when we screwed it on to position the top cap. But, and this is the bit that I think makes sense, and the reason it works for me, the top cap is no longer pushing against the wick tightly. I do feel sometimes the wicks get strangled, especially with thicker juices. We are into the black arts here, but it has helped me on a number of occasions to get extra flavour out of an already good device, and to fix devices that are need some help.

Happy days mate :D

If it tastes burnt again, dry burn. Glows red, drown the coils in said tilty fashion, job done 9 times out of 10 :D
