anyone else with Ijust 2?

OK I have a whole bunch of tanks, some of which I wanted to use strictly for TC.

I got a great deal on an Ijust 2 with 15 Coils, But I just can't get a good vape from it

Currently running Smok R80 in Nickel mode, (DC) Default Tcr @ 45W, 280C, I get plenty of vapour but very little taste. If I go up to 300C I get some taste but there doesn't seem to be any warmth to the vape.

I have tried the tank on the Xcube II as well and got pretty much the same. Tried different coils just in case it was a duff coil, nope same.

But If I use my Crown with same settings I feel like I've inhaled a sauna. Crown running perfectly happy giving a warm flavourful vape between 200-230C. What if anything am I doing wrong, Is it just that the Ijust 2 is not a very good tank?

@drnick Sounds like the coil heads are the issue. The cotton is probably packed too tight, leading to slow wicking, a drier coil, the need to set the temp very high and a weak flavourless vape.

Have you tried pricking the wicks with a pin to open them up a bit? Or using higher PG juice?

Stock heads are not manufactured with the same care and attention you'd give to a rebuildable; they often perform poorly in comparison, especially in TC where wick density is very important. You'd probably be better off getting this rebuildable head for the iJust 2: http://www.eleafworld.com/ecr-head-2/

I have a couple I just 2 and always found pricking the coils to improve the vape. They just seem to be over packed with cotton

Thanks for that, I will give it a go, although I did get a bunch of 50/50 in the zamplebox this month so may run that through it and see how it behaves.

Does that year the same coils as the melo? If so I have the same problem with the tc coils . The kanthal coils are fine the nickel are tasteless for me.

Pretty sure they use the same but defiantly makes a differance

i'll give it a go next time ive got some ni coils , just read my previous post - its supposed to say "does that use" not "does that year" bloody predictive text is shite

It seems to be hit and miss with the TC coils. I've had some that give me a dry hit and others that gurgle like nobody's business. For TC you really can't beat your own build. I keep my ijust2 tank purely as a back-up these days.

Well I gave it all a good go and I think the Ijust 2 will be the next tank I palm off on a friend I gave the cotton a good needling ran a bottle of 50/50 juice through it and it's still S**T I think I will stick to using the crown in TC mode and back it up with the Arctic for a while. Maybe I find something nice at Vapejam.
