first off I've been using a ego style pen untill today so totally new to regulated mods and tanks.

Today is the first day of using the armour pro and zlide tank I have the 1.6ohm coil in at the moment.

So far I think I have everything correct but since the instruction manual if you can call it that is very minimal I have a few question.
I've found how to get into settings and have set it to vw-n and vaping at 12w (started at 8w to break the coil in)
The main questions I have are
what are the difrences between vw-hard, vw-normal and vw-soft?
What does auto mode do?
And am I correct that smart mode will set it to wattage for the coil? (It changed to 10w when I tried it and coil is 10-14w
Once you have the wattage you like is there a way to lock it in to prevent turning up or down by accident?

Hard, normal & soft relate to how power will be applied when you fire. Hard will be boosted to give more power then drop to what you set the power to. Normal will do nothing & Soft will slowly bring the power up to the set level. Don't know this mod so can't comment on Auto mode. Smart mode is ok if unsure on what power setting to use but whatever it presets to on a new coil I'd drop it a bit to prevent over heating a fresh coil.

Bizarrely on the Armour Pro the Hard setting as you say is boosted then settles as does the Normal setting, Soft gives you a normal setting with no slow ramp or boost. Not sure if they have released firmware to address this but last time I checked they have just ignored it. Quite annoying to be honest as it's a great mod.

3 clicks on the fire button to lock it, same to unlock. 5 clicks to switch it on/off.

Hi @Frogprince, i been using an armour pro for half a year now and it is my favourite mod. I advise you to vape on the Soft setting. High and Normal will provide a boost at the beginning and it will kill small coils faster.
Watch this as it is the best technical review and also explains the power modes.

I sometimes use the Hard setting but I run a big ass 0.18 ohm staggered fused clapton build. On your coil at low watts it will just shorten the life of it.

I liked the hard mode when I tried it but switch back to normal as thought it would shorten coil life. Didnt think normal would do the same. Switched to soft mode now. TY for the info

The spike on the normal setting seems to be a trick to make the mod look like it is hitting fast and hard. Any normal coil will have a warm-up time ( mesh coils are usually faster) this boosted spike will make it look that it does hit like a train. Even with this glitch it is an amazing mod with a really good build and board.

Well I started using the armour pro at 10-12w at around 2pm yesterday, today at 9:30am the battery needed charging.
I used a new molicel p42a 4200mah 21700 that I'd charged to full with a 1a charger before putting it in the mod.
I thought I would get 2 days at least before charging from what I've read.
