Aspire Tigon tank - Glass replacment

I'm trying to change the glass on my Tigon and according to the manual the top furniture unscrews. But it doesn't. I've undone the weird locking nut thingy inside but I still can't get the top off. Is it just ridiculously tight or am I missing something?

(Another slight issue I have with this tank is the filler hole - it's practically miscroscopic and the utterly pointless sealing flap doesn't help, so I've removed that, but it's still really hard to fill without making a mess because the hole... no, make that "slot" - is so tiny. What's the point of making it long yet too narrow to get a nozzle in? I don't get it. It's a pretty good tank and the 0.4 coil delivers particularly good flavour, but I feel it's a bit overdesigned in some aspects.)

same with the itank. the rubber seal over the juice hole wont take any thicker nozzles so have to decant into a fine needle point bottle.
oh and removing the rubber seal may, i say may cause it to leak. ive not got your tank so just a guess.

No leaks so far, top or bottom. That's one reason I'm tempted to forgive its little failings. The top slides and seems to fit well, and the juice holes in the coil housing close when you take the coil out, thus you can upend it and change the coil without having to empty the tank first (a la Odan), so the rubber thingy is pretty redundant AFAICT.

I don't have a problem with my itanks. Just remove the drip tip and 100ml bottles are fine.

proble when 40 of my juice are in these bottles so have to decamp to finer needle tip bottles
