The free wire is a high gauge through. Between 35AWG (0.15mm) and 31AWG (0.23mm) and you can't choose the gauge, but you do get to choose between kanthal, nickel chrome or ni200.

Alternatively, you can choose to have a single sheet of (unnamed) Japanese cotton for gratis. I've used the cotton and it works well.

I've always received 32G, so perfect for me and my claptons!

Can't beat some free wire though, even if you don't use it, you can sell it on eBay once you collect a fair amount! Haha!

They said before via email that they do allow people to request their free sample, but sometimes they can't always guarantee it'll happen. I've placed 4 orders, never had my requested sample, but 32G will always come in handy for me as I say, so not all that bothered.

I got 32AWG (0.21mm) and 31AWG (0.23mm) from them. I'd find the Japanese cotton more useful as I don't build fancy wires, not even twisted. Lol
