Hi all,
Pretty new to all of this but after buying a cheap vaporiser from a garage I've not had an urge to even try a cigarette, so very happy.
i now wish to buy a new unit, something a bit more permanent and quality, but it seems a bit of a minefield knowing brands, what mods fit which units/brands, and also how much I realistically need to spend. Any help in breaking it down for me to go offend do some research would be much appreciated,

many thanks.

I am new too, and these guys have been really helpful to me. There are several options available and to some extent what will suit you will depend on your lifestyle.

I think that by the end of next month I will be running with an itaste MVP v2 (£38 ) for home use with an Aerotank (£14) and a evod glass starter kit (£38 ) with an extra Vision Rainbow Spinner battery (£17) for back up and using out and about. These purchases are being spaced out as my budget is £40 per month based on my previous smoking habit. Juice can be bought for as little as £2 but you will probably find you will start spending more than that to get better juice.

Aloha man, check the discount codes cause theres plenty sites there, many offer starter kits (usually 2 batteries, 2 tanks, 1 charger, carry case and a bottle of liquid) for a reasonable price (I've got this kind of kit for about £15 off a local market a few times for friends with no issues) and that will tie you over a bit longer cause after that its all about choice, what you want to get out of your kit. I have an MVP2 with a Protank3 (+aerotank airflow valve) but i also have a smok epipe + aerotank and a nemesis + kayfun lite (all of this might sound a little confusing to you at the moment but you get used to it) and I use these for different things, like when im out and about i'll use the mvp and the pipe but in the house i prefer my nemesis.
I would personally suggest any Variable Voltage (VV) / Variable Wattage (VW) mod (MVP2 or Vamo v5 are popular) as that allows you to tweak your power and change the vape, and if your not already using one i suggest an EVOD style tank (bottom coiled so no threads hanging down the tank) but that is my personal preference.

:welcome1: to POTV

Good advice already given, but so that you understand some of the vaping terms have a look through the Wiki and the Marketplace (tabs at the top of the forum :D)

This will help with the different types of setups available and the costs involved, the setup cost will be higher but over the long term you will save :)

Any other questions about particular setups and best vendors etc, I'm sure you will get help from the lovely people here ;)

welcome to the planet x some good advice already given, lots to read on here to help you with your choices x

Welcome to POTV :) great advice above. People tend to jump on with something like a vamo or a zmax but it's completely budget dependant of course! As said above I would deffo look at a variable voltage and/or variable wattage unit as this gives you a lot more control over your vaping experience.

Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything you need to know. That's what we're here for ;)

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm looking forward to gaining some more knowledge from this forum. There's loads to get my head round and no shortage of things to spend my money on! Lol. I made a decision to go for a Innokin iTaste SVD in the end. Seemed to have some good write ups and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Cheers all.

Good choice, there is a lot of love for the itaste. If you need a hand with any of it, just ask. We all had to start somewhere and it can feel like everyone is talking another language at first, but you'll soon be fluent in the universal language of vaping!

Innokin have a great range, especially for first steps into the mod world. I have 3 innokin mods, including the SVD, and they're great
