Batteries Same Length? (18350)

Hi, are these 18350 batts the same length??

One is the Efest IMR 18350 800 maH Flat Top and the other is Trustfire Protected 18350 1200mah Flat Top.

I have read that the '35' part of the 18350 number refers to the length (i.e 35mm), but have also read that the protected batteries are longer to accomodate the extra gubbins. The protected trustfire ones look better but i don't want to get some batteries that don't fit my mod!!

You're on the right lines, the 350 refers to 35mm or 3.5cm.

There may be a small difference with the button top making it slightly longer than the flat top, but should only be about 1mm or so. Does your mod have a spring at the bottom? If so, that should allow for the 1mm difference and so either should fit.

350 mm is a big battery lol 35mm think the 0 on the end just means its a round battery

i have some efest flat top batteries that have the built in protection . now my standard nipple top 18650 actually measures bang on 65mm. my flat top protected however is actually 68mm, the in built protection takes up about 4mm extra battery length . as for trustfire looking better... main thing is do they work better? i would go with the efest as ive heard a few stories about trustfire being rubbish and the efest are IMR protected anyway

efest imr are not protected they are safer chemistry

I had some trustfire I chucked em in the bin. They were crap. Worked for about 5 mins in my svd.

Dont bother with the trustfires see this for size http://www.efestpower.com/Product/5913625755.html
If you scroll down a bit youll see they put the calipers on one of the batteries and in typical fashion didnt zero it properly but you can see from the fixed scale that its pretty much 35mm

Always go for imr safer chemistry aw efest or Torchy brand you can find him on eBay user name big_f_d_d
