Iv just done a dual coil on my new kraken atty it came out at .8 ohm and is a beast!! Checked it on my mvp2 and it even fires on that so without thinking I chucked it on my nemesis and its great all seems to be going well then realised I'm sub ohm vaping and have no idea if my battery can handle it! So before I blow my hand off I thought I'd ask on here.
the battery in the nemesis is a 18650 3400mAh from torchy and is made with Panasonic cells. So is vaping at .8ohms safe with this battery?

Well, at 4.2 V (a fully charged battery) you'll be drawing 4.2/0.8 = 5.25 amps, which should be quite comfortable for a Torchy battery. You only need to worry when going a fair bit lower than that

Thank you for the quick replies I just wasn't sure what amp the torch batteries are as it didn't say on the listing for them.

Also what is the lowest I could safely go with this battery? I'm not planning on going any lower at the moment but it would be nice to know for when I'm experimenting lol

If its the Panasonic NCR18650B MH12210 IMR then 6.8 A or 0.62 ohm, I never bother with these below 1.2 ohm as they don't have the muscle. There is a higher drain 3400 mah Panasonic NCR don't have the spec for that.

As a rule of thumb the Higher the mAh, the lower the continuos discharge current, So an AW IMR 18650 - 2000mAh has a 16a limit while the AW IMR 18650 - 1600mAh has a 24a limit. so if you were to push a freshly charged 18650 - 1600 to it's limit you could vape at 100 watts!

Is the torchy an IMR/INR/Hybrid if not then sub ohm is out of question and wouldn't even vape with it, the VTC4 30A / INR 20 22A/Aw 1600 24A/MNKE 30A are a few up to the job. There has just come out some Efset purples think 2500mah 35A imagine they'll be just the job.

I know the torchy (Panasonic inside) 3400mah aren't IMR
