Best starter RBA?

Hello!

I was hoping someone here could help me. This forum has come highly recommended by one of your members! :-) so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I'm looking to venture into building my own coils and getting myself set up with a decent but essentially a starter RBA kit/tank. But there's so much choice it's hard to know which to pick to get started.

I was looking at the Griffin 25.
The Vandy vape, Kylin has been recommended. Or alternatively just get an RBA kit for my SMOK V8 baby tank.

For someone looking to build their own coils on a deck (or even use premade coils) what tank would you recommend? What did you start out with?

My plan is to choose the right set up and then really delve into detail to learn how to do it.

For info whatever I do wind up getting, it will be used on a regulated mod (I'm not brave enough to even touch a mech mod yet). I have a cool fire IV TC100 and a SMOK R200 - so it would be used with one of those.

My vaping preference is around 40watts.

P.s I'm sorry if I get my terminology mixed up. There are so many abbreviations. I basically mean a tank set up where you make and place your own coils, wick your own cotton and fit it all back together inside a tank which you refill with juice. :-)

I personally think the Kylin is the better option.

Look at pictures of them both very closely. Consider how you would build a coil and how your hands work. One might be easier to build on for you than the other. My personal preference is the Kylin.

I am sure others will comment soon, and likely have more experience with the Griffin. I know they are spoken of highly but I have never owned one.

I really like the Ammit over the Kylin if we're going down that road. I think it's better made and it's super easy to build on IMO. However, they're both... VERY similar. I absolutely love it - just got one about a week ago and haven't looked back; would easily buy another.

only get the rba deck for the tfv8 if its the 3ml tank it doesn't work on the 2ml

I opted for the Griffin 25 plus but I also got the Merlin Augvape.

Still wondering about the Kylin! :-)
