Best way to sample e liquid?

Hi all.

I've got a ego clone and a few ce4s, I've only started with liquids and such in the last week (before this had about a year on and off of VIP ecigs)

Anyway I'm wondering what's the best way of sampling some juice. I was thinking of a cheap dripper so that I could just try a couple of drops before deciding to fill a clearomizer but I don't know enough to work out what to get for my ego and wallet.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Cheers.

Hi spikeyvic in response to your question a rebuildable dripping atomiser would be ideal for testing liquids but depends on how you feel towards building your own coils. Another thing to factor in is that you would need to build your coil 1.6 ohm or above if you wish to use it on an ego battery. Coil building ain't that bad but it is a learning curve which can vary from 1 person to the next. A few basic RDA's are the igo w, igo w4, orieco storm. Feel free to ask further and I will try to help ; )

If you are looking to take the plunge then I highly recommend stealthvape for your Kanthal wire, silica or voodoowool.

Organic cotton woll is also an option but does not work well with custard liquids.

Thanks for replying stoobs.

Okay so an RDA sounds like the ticket, I'll have a look at the ones you've mentioned. I don't really know anything about rebuilding coils but I'm willing to give it a go. I'll see if I can find a tutorial on it. What kind of equipment would I need to build a coil?

Depends how deep into it you want to go....some precision screwdrivers, cutters (nail clippers are handy) tweezers and kanthal wire and choice of wicking material either silica based or cotton
and a butane torch is handy. But mostly patience.....go watch some videos on youtube is my advice

There are various methods for coil building.

I use a 1.5mm or 2mm drill bit to wrap my coils depending on the RBA/RDA as I mostly use cotton unless i'm vaping custard then I use Voodoo wool.

However you can wrap using other methods watch some videos on youtube to get an idea what you will be doing.

I started with re-coiling protanks and evods and moved to RBA/RDA. I am in no way a coil master but can make an atty work well, after you have built a few you get better and better.

Materials required for coil building

Kanthal A1 resistance wire 28awg, 30 awg & 32awg is what I personally use (lower gauge = thicker wire = less resistance)
Either silica wick or voodoowool
A good lighter to heat kanthal before wrapping the coil (makes it less springy and easier to work with) or a chefs torch if you have one.

What you wrap the coil on depends on your wick preference it could be a drill bit, precision screwdriver or a machine screw for organic cotton

If using silica or voodoowool you can use a dressmakers pin and just wrap it with the pin and remove the pin once assembled. I flame voodoo wool as I find it easier to work with as it goes fairly stiff.

If you need any further help give me a shout ; )

A dripper is perfect for testing liquid, especially with cotton (which can just be swapped out for a new piece for a new juice). Coiling a RDA is pretty easy.
I got mine from Fasttech for about £3 & it does a great job (avoid the one-colour mini drippers, though. They don't fit a 510 connector)

Sent from my GT-I9305 using Planet of the Vapes mobile app

I think I'll try the Bauway 306 LR to start with as it seems the simplest for newbie me. Am I right in thinking the LR stands for low resistance and if so would it still be okay with my ego. It's not too much of a problem if it doesn't as I'm hoping to get a VV itaste at the end of the month, that's if the finance department (the missus) signs off on it.

the 306 lr should work on your ego mate because low resistance on these is usually around 1.5 ohms dont forget to get a 306 drip tip

Yep the LR range is between 1.5 - 1.8 & the majority tend to come in at middle.
