Billet Box Connection

I have a SXK DNA60 billet box and I'm having issues with the device staying on.

Basically whenever I have a Boro inside with a flush nut connected or a integrated tip (tried different ones), whenever I press the fire button, the power completely goes, I press it again and the power comes back, then repeat.

When I don't have a Boro or flush nut / tip in, I can press the fire button all day long and the power never goes off.

I have no idea what the problem is. Could it be the threading where the flush nut / integrated tip screws in ?

What messages are you getting in the screen?

I’m struggling to understand what you mean when you say the power goes and then cones back with alternative fires.

I’m guessing that when a drip tip/boro is absent it’ll be saying “Check Atomiser” and this is all the way it should work.

Have you got this BB from someone who put a rather special profile on the chip?

Give the thread on the BB a good clean and then bend your battery terminal down a little bit so if gets a better connection with the battery.

Thanks for the response.

There's no message on the screen when there is a Boro tank and flush nut / drip tip , it just goes off, then when I press the fire button again, the screen comes back on with the start up image.

When a drip tip / flush nut is absent, there is a message on the screen saying check atomiser.

I bought it off someone on a FB group and it worked fine when I got it.

Hi, thanks for the response, I have given it a good clean, and I have changed the battery terminal to a spon type one as I thought that could have been the issue.

The BB goes into a “sleep” mode after a period of inactivity. Not sure how long this is - I have 3 and I think it’s different for each; somewhere between 20 and 35 minutes. I am unaware that this is a setting in Evolv (I’ve not found it) but it could be that your box is going back to sleep as soon as it’s woken up.
Have you recently done anything in Evolv? Maybe reverse it if possible. Or restore from someone else’s profile.
It could also be a dodgy connection in the pin at the bottom of the boro recess and it’s making/breaking contact. But, the regularity seems too regular for that, but you never know.
That pin should also be kept as squeaky clean as the battery terminals and threads.
Has the box taken any solo flying lessons recently?

Hi, regarding the sleep mode, I haven't changed anything and it's been working fine this past week.

It hasn't been on any flying lessons no haha.

I've cleaned all the battery terminals as well as the pin the Boro sits on. Stripped it all down too to check for any juice inside and it's bone dry.

Is it a new purchase or is it a old mod?
