hi why have all these bloody enclosures got sloping ends even the plastic ones how do you straighten them out the plastic ones don't have enough thickness to sand down

They all have sloping ends because they are made in a mould and to get them out of the mould they need to have a chamfer. I won't go near straightening the plastic ones, it makes them too weak. The ally boxes can be machined straight, badaboom is the man to advise about that.
Also not all boxes are as bad, I have had a few Hammond boxes that have been near enough straight. I also had some very cheap boxes from Rapid electronics and they are actually straight!

thanks mate i had one of speedy last week the large plastic one but it sloped

I love those boxes because of the great colours, but, I stick with the small ones as they slope more than any other box I have picked up and the small ones hide that a little bit. It's one of those things that you have to just accept, in some ways it makes them a bit quirky!
