I spent tons of cash on new device and that coil. PnP, G coils, T18 coils,s coils, and jem coils most burn out less than 2 days. I do correct advice they say prime coil, yeah yeah,.don't overfill so I 90% fill tank. Let soak coil 10 minutes. Actually I do 2 hours. Small inhales whilst not on do that for an hour. Then small inhales whilst on. I do this on every coils and most they burn out <2 days. Some admitted last 3-8 days. A year ago I got so fed up I bought logic compact and prefilled pods. They're ok but you don't get satisfaction with the hit even off nic salts. Back on normal vapers and back on burnt coils again. Sorry it's cheaper to smoke roll ups.

Hi @Simon222 and welcome to the planet.

Ive not used any of those coils so a couple of question. what wattage are each coil rated at and what make of juice and its ratio of vg/pg are you using.
this will help others give better advice.

oh, and trust me, its defo not cheaper to smoke.

ive spent thousands of £ in the 7 years since i quit cigs.
to give an idea ive saved quite a few pounds in that time.

Hi i use 50/50 liquid,at 10-11w with fully open airholes. I usually use 1.4-1.7 ohm coils.

they should certainly last longer than what you say then.
quality control on coils is hit and miss and weve certainly seen some bad batches in the past. different make but ive had 4 duff coils out of a box of 5 in the past.
there are also loads of clones and fakes out there of almost every make. where do you usually buy from?

if online then post 5 here of our trusted suppliers is worth bookmarking POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

hopefully some of the mouth to lung users will be able to advise further.

Purchase online mainly because of high street retail shop coils. It doesn't matter where from 80% of coils burn out. Online stores: electronic cigarette company, electronic cigarette direct, vape vision, there are a few more but I reckon the companies who make them haven't found the sweet spot. Currently using innokin jem v2 device with jem 1.6 ohm coils. Amazing taste with lots of exhaled vapour from 50/50 then you get dry hit warning. You think nah just a layer of cotton gone a few to go then your throats on fire, not literally. I empty tank, prime coil make sure coil is screw in well enough with out over tighten, replace coil base to tank, fill 90% with eliquid. Soak for 2 hours. I do this over and over. Mostly burnt coils in around a day or two.

just a guess but im wondering if the gem coils need more oomph. they are rated at 10-13.5watt and depending on some juice like deserts with more sweetner they may need a bit more wattage but as i said just a guess as i usually vape at 50watts.

some people swear by using a sharp pin to poke the cotton around the coil especially if it is too compacted then juice will struggle to soak up. dont push too hard though as you dont want to disrupt or bend the wire inside.

Your 4 duff coils from 1 box of 5 is absolutely terrible.I expect a couple of any item to be imperfect from batches of 1000. Mass production has some failings I understand. But my experience and a few others just have had bad luck with not just coils but devices the voopoo drag X is the worst. That broke down no display. And I didn't ever drop it. Failed after 10 days. Vaperesso isn't any better. Best device is innokin jem, but the sceptre is rubbish. Not sure about the sceptre tube though.

I never as a rule use fruit or desert or sweets flavor I use coffee and, or tobacco. Love the warm taste associated with these.
Sound advice* the pin. Might try but scare about making too loose or breaking the cotton sheets?
No no to extra watts on jem coils i accidentally switched to 13.5 w (5 settings on version 2). Oh my days it made me choke, partial dry hit but the nic content made my brain spin.

let me tag @DeeDee aka (Pod Queen) who mainly deals with salts but uses loads of different mouth to lung set ups like yours. see if she can come up with any sugestions.

if you like backy flavours have a look at manabush who do backy infused flavours. i think all of their 10ml range are 50/50 but i only buy shortfills 70vg so may be wrong.

Ok thanks, what is the process infused. Are these a mix of flavours ie nut tobacco or caramel backy.
You must use around 0.2-0.5 ohm coils in a mod kit device or similar. you need up to 4x 18650 batteries to get that firing up. I had a couple of pod mods with those battery. Easily break the tank glass, or crack the pyrex variant.
