Cartomizer vs. Nova

I've noticed some differences in the vaping experience between cartomizers and my mini nova. The cartomizers seem to enable a rich, dense plume of vapour, but the taste of the juice (Desert Ship from Jacvapour) is somewhat muted and sometimes a bit chemical-ish. The vape from the mini Nova affords a clear sweet flavour, with that satisfying sizzle sound but not so great vapour. I should add that I'm using the 1.8 ohm wick on a 4.2 volt ego battery.

Has anyone else found this to be the case? Also, is there a setup that would give me awesome plumes of vapour as well as the clear, vibrant flavour?

Is your battery a VV?

Try going up one and make sure you are doing the Vivi Tip (tipping the tank so the wick and coil at the top are nice and wet)

I get loads of vape from the vivi's also, looking into re-coiling them yourself, much better coils than what they come with when you do it yourself :)

Another thing make sure your coil isn't crudded up on the Vivi it will happen over time, this will help with Vapour production.

Also, generally speaking now, the more vg in an eliquid, the more vapour, the more pg, the more flavour, my preference is to go for a 50/50 vg/pg mix for the best of both worlds, I think jacvapour has two types of eliquid in this regard, though this may have changed since last I purchased from them, but they either do prominent vg, or prominent pg flavours, so I would buy a bottle of both in the same flavour and mix them half and half ;) Or purchase eliquid from suppliers with a wider range of pg/vg mix ratios, of course, not to bemoan jacvapour, whom I like as a vendor with great customer service.

No, the battery isn't VV, just a manual Vgo2 (Jacvapour). Before I bought the nova, I watched a lot of reviews and they all mentioned the Nova tip, so yep I've been doing that since the beginning. The vapour is good, nothing to complain about really, I just noticed this evening when using a carto that the vapour was amazing, so was just curious.
