Cartomizers not lasting long, what am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone, so I upgraded from green smoke to riva 1100, but when I refill the carts they are only lasting for a few drags, they are low resistance, also the same with smaller ones that came with the kit, they are standard resistance. I use the condom method and put 1.6ml in the large ones, but vapour and taste drop off real quick.
I seem to be refilling a couple of times a day, help please.

I use cartos almost exclusively, and I drop ten drops of fluid in at a time quite a few times during a day (not sure exactly how many times, but certainly more than a couple). Make sure that the wadding inside the carto is nicely soaked to begin with and keep the wadding topped up - that usually does the trick. Don't flood the carto, but make sure there is enough juice in it to keep up a decent vapour and flavour. Have a look at this. Hope this helps.

For carto's they hold roughly 2-3ml of liquid and need topping up quite frequently.


I use a blunt needle down between the filler and the side of the carto and fill slowly, then poke the daylights out of the filler with a safety pin to free any air pockets.

Topping up several times a day. I stopped dripping into a carto a long because i found air pockets were causing them to burn out quicker than I wanted

Cheers, i have a blunt needle and syringe so will try that, I haven't been putting enough in, and yes
I have been flooding them, thanks for your help
maybe I will change to kanger t3's
