Centre pin

I need to extend tge centre pin on an Origen clone. Anyone know if a rubber washer will work or will it just fry it. Any other options ?

You could cut a bit off an old clearo insulator to be safer. Put a blade where you want the cut (on the removed insulator) and hit the spine with a hammer on a suitable surface for a perfect clean cut. Then try to find the bit that flew across the room.

I've no idea if it'll work because I've never used one but if the centre pin is removable would it be possible to drop a tiny grub screw or similar in then refit?

Think this might be the best option. Just need to decide what to demolish

I took mine apart and used a piece of an old floppy disc plastic as a small washer to raise the centre pin so it would connect with the pin on my mech.
