Charging ego 1100 battery- Blinking red light?????

Hi All; just plugged in my ego 1100mah battery into supplied usb charger and all that happens is the red light on charger blinks off and on, while the button on the ego battery remains blue? Is this charging, been like that 10 minutes now, or is battery or charger faulty??? Thanks...I have noticed that a lot of these usb chargers that came with my ego battery kits ( I have quite a few) are often complete duds..

you need to lift the connector post alittle it's not making a good connection also check for any liquid on it too

try the same thing but on the charger first. Both the chargers and the eGo batteries have floating centre pins and if for some reason (atty has longer than normal screw threads, overtightening, etc) it gets pushed in *just* a little too far it won't make a good connection and you'll run into problems.

Plugged completely flat ego battery into identical other usb charger, now showing continuous green light!! But battery is completely flat!!

Did you get it sorted?
If it's not the pin, I'd get some kitchen/toilet roll in there and clean out all the condensation, doesn't half make a difference!

Thanks Stroud Vaping I tried shifting the pin out a bit several times, the usb charger still flashed red light off and on, but it turned green at 4 hours, so it still charged battery....hopefully works ok

Stupid question probably, but did you try it on a different charger if you have a few? I had one that I just ended up chucking (the USB to ego bit) because it was just too temperamental and I had to fiddle with it for ages to get the red light to stay on. Also, are you charging from a USB port or with a mains converter?

Hi Citrus Yes I tried it with a few different charges with more or less the same results. I'm charging from a computer usb port not mains. Anyway the red light carried on blinking off and on for 4 hours with the ego battery light permanently on blue, then charger light went green, so I'm presuming it works fine, just about to fill up now and try vaping with it....hopefully battery isnt dead, only been used once no more. How you getting on with your new kit?
