Yeah I've came to the same conclusion. I had this idea of putting el wire in the tube and in the battery front cap and wiring it so it illuminates while being vaped.. might not even be possible but if it is it will beat the hell outta led

Insulation isn't the problem as el wire is already insulted. The problem is it requires an inverter. The smallest one I've seen so far is about the size of a nine volt maybe a little smaller. Getting the inverter made is what I'm working on but the inverter must be compatible with a 18650 and the inverter must fit in the front cap of the evic. Well not really. I could order the tube longer and place it there which would require the insulation you spoke of
i mate only problem I see is that the lights will be on all the time as the evic s drawing power all the time ( ie not a mechanical switch). The only other way is to run it between chip and atomizer but that may cause problem with the pwm.

Anything in the circuit would use power not ideal really
Clear tube is a novel idea though maybe with a small connection lead in it metal threads at either end.
