Are the kits that are available worth the money or is it better to purchase the items individually?

Are there tools that are useful that are typically not found in the kits?

For individual tools what's the best place to get them?

And finally are the ohm checkers that come with the kits worth it and are they accurate?

Sorry for so many questions.

I'd say yes. Assuming you buy a full kit you get everything you need in one place and it's easily portable. There's also a bit of spare room for stuff like cotton, O rings etc etc. The ohm readers are probably not top quality but they do the job and generally agree closely enough with the mod reading that it makes no difference.

No reason not to start with a kit and add or replace items as you see fit. Some people are happy to use a set of cheap drivers, nail clippers, cheap scissors and eyebrow tweezers and calculate resistance using steam engine online tools.
You should soon figure out what you need.

I got myself a coilmaster Kit (swap for somrthing or bought... don't remember) and gradually added things to it to the point of nonrecognition... will post a pic later

Coilmaster kit (Essential) Few other odd tools laying around and masses of other tools for completely unrelated tasks all over the place. Never short of tools :)

Thanks everyone managed to get one on Amazon that will be here tomorrow. Will probably use my multimeter as having checked it goes down to 0.1 ohm

just added a few things to stock kit...

Coilmaster V3 kit was a nice starter kit for me. I bought the 521 Plus tab too.

I was looking at that it look nice

Nice selection of tools in the kit, I know it comes with a build tab but I liked the look of the 521 Plus, and the reviews gave it positive feedback. It feels nice to build on, good solid base too. For a newbie I'm pleased with both :)
