Coil getting black ?

I have some pre-built coils for my kangertech subtank mini. I use the RBA deck.

But somehow my coil gets black or nasty. And the taste differ. A new installed coil last only 2 or 3 days. I Vape about 4ml per day. My juice is 70%VG.

I am using a 0.5ohm and vaping between 15-20 watts.

Can someone please tell why this is happening. It's really boring to change the coil every 2 or 3 day.

most coils go black but should last a lot longer than a couple of days.
are you using the square or the round SS coils.
the ss 0.5 is rated 15-60watts so you might need to up the wattage to get more flavor through.
i personally dont like the ss coils and use the old square 1.2 for my all day custard at 17watts and a coil will last anything upto a month.

if you are sticking below 20w then it might be worth trying the 1.2 as i use it direct to lung with air hole fuly open.

What juice is it? Deserty flavours gunk up coils at a rapid rate. What wire are you using?

are you using a lot of very sweet juice, especialy stuff from the states, its full of sucralose sweetener, it burns and can turn coils and wicks black pretty quick.

Sounds like sweatner to me. You can. And before I go on you have to be very careful. Strip the cotton out. Dry burn the coil with pulses at ten watts above what you would vape the coil at. When the coil is red. Quench it under a light stream of cold water from the tap. Make sure you are Not pulsing when in the water. It only needs a split second and only wet the coil, not the atty or mod. This will completely clean the coil but care must be taken.

I have done that before. The weird thing is I still got the same bad taste. And the coil doesn't get really blank what ever I do.

And about my juice......yes I Vape some vanilla and other sweet juice. It's not from the states but from Sweden. It called "MILF Juice" [emoji12] Tastes really good.

The pre-wicked coils I use is from Kangertech. It came with when I bought my Kbox mini. It's 0
5ohm.

Do you guys else know where I can buy good quality pre-wicked kanthal coil ? Between 0.5 - 1.5 ohm. Maybe the kanthal wire aren't good.

I know that juices which rely on the addition of Ethyl Maltol to sweeten them can very easily caramelise on your coils and wick causing burning. Not sure if other types of sweetner would have the same effect but guess that they will because sugary stuff caramelises at high temps no matter what form it comes in. Another thing about EM (which again may, or may not, be specific to that particular ingredient) is that it rounds off and mutes flavours so it can actually have the effect of causing all round flavour loss when vaped a lot or at high concentrations. I guess that's why sugary juices tend to lose flavour after you've vaped on them a while, I always used to blame my coils but now I think it's my tastebuds so I just switch flavours or give the chain vaping a break for a while...a very small 'while', clean my teeth, have a big drink of water/coffee/juice...stalk about in frustration for a bit...and so on lol

I'm just about to rewick one of my griffins that I vape I love cookies through,

Probably the sweetest gloop I use,

I get about 2 evenings out of them before they gunk up,

I'll post a pic shortly and you can compare,

I do, however vape at around 50w but have a look and see if it's similar,

get yourself a few spare rba decks from fasttech, then spend a few minutes building each one, once a week. then just swap it out as and when.
hell of a lot cheaper than buying stock coils, which will gunk also.

if your using a touching coil, switch to a spaced coil. they gunk alot slower and the taste is better.
