Hey guys!
Hope everyone is well :)

I bought the new Voopoo Argus GT 2 last month and am absolutely loving it. It’s a great mod. I’m using the newly designed Maat “volcano” tank that comes with it and Voopoo’s TPP coils.

I switched out the standard glass that comes with the tank and am now using the 6.5/7ml bubble glass.

I’ve noticed that since swapping the glass, I’m getting quite a bit of leakage into the 510 connector. I can’t find a theory behind why it’s leaking so wanted to puzzle brains here. I’m using the 0.2ohm coil - TPP DM2.

The leaks aren’t coming through the O rings, so they’re not the issue. When I have quite the build up of liquid in the connector, I notice that the juice appears to be coming directly through the bottom of the coil, basically where the gold plate sits on the bottom of the coil. I’m vaping at 55 watts, so it’s not that either as that coil is designed for 40-60W.

do you think that the new glass holds too much liquid for that coil to handle and subsequently it leaks through it? Or would that not be an issue?

the only other thing I can think of it, is that sometimes, the chip inside the mod can read the coil as 0.21 or 0.23ohm, rather than exactly 0.2ohm, so I’m guessing when hitting the fire button, the volts applied to the coil would be different. Could that be the reason?

kinda lost on what it could be really. I’ve tired two different brands of juices now and get the same results. When I say “leaks” it doesn’t leak the entire tank out but enough for the airflow holes to sometimes weep a bit of juice out and also using cotton buds to soak up the juice from the connector. Any ideas?

Here’s a few photos.

I had the same issue with the original Argus PNP pod tank. Push fit coils seem to be prone to leaks. The pressure from filling up to the top and closing the bung might be making the juice seep down. Try not filling to capacity and of course make sure that coil is in tight. Give it push on a hard surface before popping on your Argus. Hope that helps.

i had the same issue using those coils & never did figure it out apart from the leaks i also found the coils did not last long either ie less than 1 week, in the end i binned them.
