Coil Resistance going down?

Hi

Using a small fused Clapton for mtl and for the first time ever the resistance is going down. Now I'm used to it going up which, for me, usually means the coil is getting gunky or there's some juice on the 510. On the odd occasion its because one of the screws has come loose. (I can assure you I don't have a screw loose today ;) )

All seems fine but in the last few hours its dropped from .8 ohms to .73. The coil is about 3 weeks old now.

Any ideas?

Cheers :)

Weird one

Try tank on another mod ????
To eliminate it isn't the mod itself screwing up in calculating shit

probably not - but still a process of elimination if the mod's electronics is fucking about stating coil is this/that

other than that - FUCKED IF I KNOW

ps - daft obvious thing, loose 510 pin but that would be like a loose screw and fluctuate upwards me thinks
(I'd check/try another mod if you have checked the obvious shit on the tank itself)

Not that big a drop, 0.07ohm. Just keep an eye on it but if it's on reg mod wouldn't worry too much.

Is it stainless steel? Mine usually creep up a bit too but I have noticed it drop a little as well.

Personally I wouldn’t worry. My coils tend to jump up and down abit too, Sometimes it can be how you wicked, could me the metal fatiguing or even nip up the coil post holes as they can sometimes move :)

I wondered if it may be coil fatigue? I think this is the longest I’ve ever used a coil before but 3 weeks isn’t long at all. It is a small’ish drop but I’ve just never experienced a coil going downwards before. I will keep an eye on it. When this tank is empty I’ll check it on another mod and see what I can find. Cheers

If it’s working ok I wouldn’t worry about it, as others said it’s a very small difference.

Probably nothing to worry about Matt, but just let us know if it gets any worse.

At one point I went to 19 watts. One more and I’d have been in nose bleed territory. I’m not going there again. No sir-ree
