Coils and resistances

I have had a Manta RTA for about 3 years now. I've encountered something I couldn't really find an answer to. One day I was chain-smoking like I normally do when suddenly - dry hit and my coils' resistance spikes extremely high then slowly dropped to about 18-22 ohms. At the beginning of these coils' life, the pair averaged to about 11ohms then slowly rose to 15 and seemed stable. Because I couldn't find any replacement to these coils in the UK, I just kept using them. Now it rarely goes below 18. I tried changing my cotton today and addressing this resistance issue. I managed to get them back to about 15, but after some more messing around I fucked it up and now wont go below 20 ohms, won't heat evenly and keeps spiking in resistance. If you have any idea on what's going on and how to fix this issue, please help me out! This has never happened to me before

Looks like you could be shorting on the chamber when you screw it on from at least one of the coils.

Never actually thought of that. I screwed my coils closer to the middle, hopefully that'll fix it! Just took my first few puffs afterwards and I have it ohm-locked at 0.16ohms. Tastes greats so far.. Thanks for helping me!
