Coils popping / Banging

Hi, me again.

Well i just replaced my second 0.5 coil on my kanger toptank mini rba deck. The first one was pre installed when i got it so all i had to do was put cotton in.

Just replaced with another pre made one that came with it. When ive put everything back together and filled the tank im getting a loud popping / bang followed by crackling (which ive had before).

Any idea on how to fix it? Ive taken it apart and made sure the posts and mini screw are tight etc.

I did a google and youtube and only thing i can find it that it seems to be liquid being heated up too quick. Is this an indication that i should of put more cotton in?

Looks about right to me I'm using the same tank and get that occasionally I just turn the temp down and gradually increase it again. Did you fire the coil before you put wick in it?

Yes but only a couple of times. It was glowing from the middle - out.

Im gonna try putting a bigger piece of cotton in soon to see if it helps. My first one was fine.

Pulled the cotton out last night. Put more cotton in and packed it well.

No more popping now.
