MTL vaping or DTL vaping, which style do you like better or like both? Today let's look at the RDS 18650 pod mod kit by Hotcig which can handle both styles easily. Here we go!

The Hotcig RDS is another combo of a pod kit and a box mod… In fact, Hotcig are generous enough to include in the kit the contents to use this as both types of device! Firstly looking at the actual mod, as stated above this can be used as a pod kit with the included pod and coils. However, the 510 adaptor which you also get can be attached to the mod to enable you to use any atomizer with a 510 connector on here too! One of the details missing from the Hotcig website is the actual output of the Hotcig RDS mod, a few of the images show "80W" displayed on the screen so fingers crossed that is the max output! The fact this uses a single 18650 battery (not included) installed via the screw off cover – also suggests that 80W would be the maximum you could get out of the mod.

There are multiple user modes to choose from – VW, VV, Bypass, and TC. You make adjustments by turning the dial – which otherwise operates as the fire button too! The screen size and type are not stated but it does have different color themes you can choose from. To refill with up to 4.2ml of your own e-liquid remove the pod to access the bottom fill port. The base of the pod gives access to the removable coil – there are five to choose from: RM1 – 0.3ohm Mesh Coil, RM3 – 1.2ohm Mesh Coil, RM2 – 0.6ohm Mesh Coil, RMX – 0.15ohm Mesh Coil, RBA coil, the latter three are available separately. The airflow is adjustable and apparently is suitable for DTL and MTL vapers. Also, there are 2 drip tips included in the kit again to suit the different vape styles.
