So as a few people may know I'm getting my line up and running got a few ready recipes etc but say I have a recipe which is

Flavour 1 - 2%
Flavour 2 - 2%
Flavour 3 - 1.5%
Flavour 4 - 3%

Total of 8.5%

Would I be able to mix this into a concentrate of my own ? And if so how ? Would it change the flavour at all ?

And would I then just still use 8.5% out of that bottle of prepare?

Without knowing what the flavours are I cant say if it would change the flavour at all, but yes you could make a premix of the concentrate.
To test the theory make up the following.

2.4ml flavour 1
2.4ml flavour 2
1.8ml flavour 3
3.6ml flavour 4

This will Give you 10.2ml of premix. ( or enough to make 110ML of ready made)

To turn this into ready juice mix 0.85ml to 9.15ml vg/pg and test to see if the same as the other mix.

You can then scale that up I would recommend you do it as 102ml (Should fit in a 100ml bottle)

24ml
24ml
18ml
36ml

To put that back into a ready to use juice you would add 8.5ml to 91.5ml vg/pg (It's not a perfect 8.5% but close enough for most). This would allow you to create 1.1Litres of ready juice.

If anyone fancies checking my maths, its been a long saturday :)

drnick, you're a little out. Your quantities would make 120ml of finished liquid.

Why not just convert the % to ml? Make up 8.5 ml of mixed concentrate, add the nick and top up to 100ml with VG/PG.

My favourite Dr. Nick quote:

"Inflammable means flammable? What a country!"

I do exactly this with one recipe though I only ever mix up 10mls of the combined concentrate at a time. I think your assumption about how much to use is safe.

As for flavour change ... apparently yes it will though you'd have to test whether it changes for the better or the worse, they are your taste buds.

I remember Martyn of Manabush saying that he premixes and ages some flavours together before combining all the flavours into the final mix. Such is the precision and craft of the master mixers!

To keep this very simple, mix up into a 10ml bottle:-
Flavour 1 - 2mls
Flavour 2 - 2mls
Flavour 3 - 1.5mls
Flavour 4 - 3mls
Then after thorough mixing and maturing, use 0.85mls of this concentrate per 10ml when making your juice (9.15mls of nic and diluents.) This keeps your proportions the same. After testing you can tweak your blend without wasting any concentrate.

I thought it would have been
20%
20%
15%
30%

Then top rest up with 15% pg?
