Confused about VV/VW and airflow tanks

Hey guys....

I've ordered a SVD VV mod and needed some one to expain why an airflow tank...(Kanger/Aspire) would be desirable. If you are able to find your sweet spot with a variable mod, what do the airflow tanks offer. I would have thought the variable airflow would only be useful on a non-variable VV mod...

airflow is actually very important.

for a good video as to why see here:

Essentially how much air that is drawn across the coil as it turns the liquid to vapour affects the amount of vapour, the amount of flavour and how likely the tank is to flood (especially a bottom coil tank)

the tighter the draw on a bottom coil the more liquid is sucked into the coil, provided the coil can keep up more liquid = more vapour & more flavour. Getting the most out of your setup is a balancing act between what power settings you use, which e-liquid you're vaping and how much airflow there is.

The harder you draw (and the faster the airflow) the cooler this makes the coil. When you smoke a cigarette and draw harder more oxygen gets to the bit that's on fire and it burns faster and hotter. The opposite is true with e-cigs. More airflow and faster airflow lower the coil temperature and lead to less flavour and less vapour.

Tanks that have airflow built in like the Kayfun the Russian 91% the Nautilus and others let you fine tune the vape easily to get the most out of your setup. You can get an airflow controller for about £3 from lots of vendors that does the same sort of thing. (though it's a bit more fiddly to use)

Cant say it much better than VaperCaper says above.

VV allows you to control how hot the coil will fire, thus producing more flavour / vapour.

But the airflow is still limited, so some tanks will still have an airy draw, and others will have a tight draw.

No matter if you fire at 3.2v or 6v the draw will still be the same.

Having an Aerotank or a Nautilus allows you to fine tune the airflow, this combined with tuning voltage / wattage should deliver the ultimate vape!

Spot on guys. Great answers. I think 'fine tuning' describes it pretty well. Thanks

its really just like as above you can set your power level but what if you're not getting the airflow you like if you can adjust it its all the better as customizable as possible
