Hi all,

Can someone please offer where I may have gone wrong on this please? Was my first
Mix so be as Brutal as you like!
Went flavour wise
20% total - 12% wild cherry (CAP) 8% coconut (CAP)
The rest was VG and VG Nic.

All I can taste is coconut, so I guess I put too much in.

I haven't got any PG and already feel as though I should have bought PG Nic.

Cheers,
James

(Edited to add: has had 2 and bit weeks steeping - Do fruit flavours need this long?)

You need PG to bring out the flavour...I'd go for 15% total flavour, 10% cherry 5% coconut....that is if you're sure about cherry and coconut as a flavour combo!!

Cheers. It was mixed @ 80/20, too much?
I'm not convinced yet, but have had similar which I liked

Your flavourings are PG based so you are bang on for your desired 80/20 mix.
I would let it sit for a few weeks for the flavours to mellow out and then retest.
It could be the case where you have to adjust your flavour percentages and keep in mind that if you go too heavy a percentage it can have a muted effect on the flavour.
The secret is finding your sweet spot.
Personally I would start at 5% cherry and 5% coconut then adjust accordingly for your desired taste.

80/20 is my preferred ratio for silky smooth vape, and good flavour. However when you start making recipes with three or four PG based flavour then you sometimes have to go 70/30 ...but that depends on your overall desired flavour ratio! I'd say use some recipes to help start you off and you'll soon get the hang of it!

Do you think 20% is too high for CAP concentrates then as an overal flavour ratio?
Want to get some more concentrates to mimic people's recipes but just spent a fair bit of cash on Mole juice.

Not all concentrates are the same so it's a bad idea to set a specific flavour overall ratio for your recipes, for example CAP harvest berry is one of their strongest so you're going to want to use less of it than say sweet strawberry in a mix. I'd recommend either making single flavour mixes and taking notes on how the flavour changes with a higher/lower percentage or check out e-liquid-recipes.com for their average mix %.

For an idea I have 29 recipes and only 2 are 20%, 15 between 12 and 16% and 12 less than 12% with the lowest being 8.5%.

Makes a lot of sense, thanks for your help.
May be easier when my RTA arrives for swapping flavours quicker.
