Diary/ice cream flavours – help!

I've been mixing for about five months and have had some success with fruit and menthol flavours, so I thought I'd have a go at some of the yoghurt and ice cream recipes that seem to be all the rage.

The problem is, everything I've tried so far tastes disgusting!

I bought a bunch of new flavours and tried following this recipe – http://diyordievaping.com/2015/08/18/strawberry-yogurts/ – to the letter. To me, it tastes like caramel barf. I had to dump the whole lot.

CAP Creamy Yogurt, TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl – with all of these I can kind of taste a hint of what they say they are, but even at 1 or 2 % I'm finding that the whole recipe is overpowered by this unpleasant barf-y taste.

I know these are really popular flavours, so – is it just me?

(FYI mixing at 3mg 70/30 or 80/20 VG/PG, generally vaping around 0.6Ω/25W or 250°C in TC mode)

Maybe the CAP Yoghurt and others contain butyric acid. I think it's used in place of Diacetyl etc.

Maybe this is what you're tasting.

I can't say I get it from TFA vanilla bean ice cream. But one you've picked up on a disgusting taste then it's hard to lose.

I liked FA Pineapple until I read someone said it tasted like burning rubber. Since then I can taste that and don't like it anymore.

One of mt fav home brews is 7% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with 3% Bavarian Cream and a fruit usually raspberry plus 1% Koolada for a nice Ripple , never experienced the sickly taste or smell to be honest with it and I also use it in smaller % to cream up and smooth out many of my dessert mixes now

yup, you're right .... I can't vape any kind of custards/creams any more, they all taste of puke to me now.
