Dripworx Full Range Review (as of 15/12/2015)
updated in a later post to include Apple Danish, #CREAM Sinner and Brain Freeze. Updated again to include Zest Appeal, The Blues and Salted Caramel Shortcake
Ok so as many of you will be aware our fellow ape has recently hit the ground running with his prestigious range of eliquids. I’m taking about Lee (or Leigh is it?) @puffinclouds. I, as well as many others are a major fan of his work. Just by browsing the forum here you will see the various glowing reports he has received and the effort he has put in to accumulate a growing fan base. Not only have I had the pleasure of tasting his juice (oooh eeer!) but he has helped me in many ways through my vaping journey so in return I feel it is only fair that I spend the time to review the juices and give credit where it is most definitely deserved. Now after such as gratuitous introduction you may well think that this review is biased, however it is solely down to the excellent efforts put in to create fine juice that I am giving such credit. I have no ulterior motive and all the opinions in this review are mine and are genuine, as I’m sure will become clear if you choose to read on. I purchased all the juices myself bar the 3 citrus flavours (which I shall explain later).
As the picture entails, all the juices were tested using a MXV4 with a dual coil build reading 0.25ohms and roughly 70w.
Liquid Doughnut
My first taste of Dripworx was the liquid doughnut after reading such brilliant reviews on POTV. I was previously dubious about doughnut liquids as I had tried another doughnut which contrary to the name I did not love! It was ok, but I think the label doughnut (or donut in that case) was misused. This juice however was quite the opposite. Within a second of my first toot my eyes widened and the little voice inside my head was screaming ‘WOW!!!’. I was almost shocked, I turned to the missus giddy with excitement, she frowned and walked off!!! I took a second hit and really concentrated on the flavour, the thought of someone syringe feeding me doughnuts crossed my mind. This was excellent, by far the most realistic juice I had taste to date (as we all know, many brands tend to exaggerate on their labelling and we’re left confused by the taste), on the inhale I was getting a lovely crisp sweet, almost sugar coated or crusted dough. This was carried through to the exhale where you’re met with a smooth sweet strawberry glaze. The flavour is epic on this one as is the texture. It’s smooth and silky (as a warning, you’ll hear that a lot in this review!) I vaped the 30ml bottle pretty much dry that night, only stopping to drop in at dripworx.co.uk to order 100ml of the stuff as well as some of the other range, it seemed silly not to off the back of this delightful creation.
So, the adventure continued a few days later with the arrival of the heavily awaited postman and my dripworx delivery. Along with the 100ml’s of LD, I had also ordered some Tea Time, Cremeberry and Strawberry Custard Cream.
Strawberry Custard Cream
I’m aware this review is precisely 540 words at this point so I’ll reel it in a little and get to the gist of it! Another top notch eliquid, the clues in the name really. On the inhale you’re greeted by a strong and very sweet strawberry, I use strong and very in a positive manner, it isn’t overpowering and it is also a natural flavour, not chemically as some others can be. On the exhale the strawberry lingers but it’s met by a divine creamy custard, a very creamy custard, it’s almost fluffy, it is very smooth and finishes the vape splendidly, spot on!
Cremeberry
The name on this one baffled me a bit at first, I naturally assumed berries and cream, which it is to an extent but there’s a twist. So, on the inhale you’re hit again by this strong natural taste of forest berries, blackberries, raspberries, almost like a jam or a Ribena cordial but not tart in any way. It’s a really nice flavour that is very moreish. The exhale is where the twist lies, after the instinctive ‘mmmm’ in my head from the taste of sweet berries I was expecting that dollop of fresh cream on the exhale. It’s smooth and silky as always but wait… There’s something different. I’m perturbed by this but only because I can’t put my finger on what it is. I try it again and I just can’t get, I’m staring vacantly at the bottle in my hand smacking my lips and then it hits me. I wasn’t sure at the time whether my brain finally deciphered it or I had just subconsciously read the name on the label again!!! Cremeberry as in crème fraiche, that’s what it is. It’s an almost savoury juxtaposition to the sweet berries and it works damn well, a bit like berries with a greek yoghurt. Another damn fine juice!!!
