Dripworx Full Range Review (as of 15/12/2015)
updated in a later post to include Apple Danish, #CREAM Sinner and Brain Freeze. Updated again to include Zest Appeal, The Blues and Salted Caramel Shortcake

Ok so as many of you will be aware our fellow ape has recently hit the ground running with his prestigious range of eliquids. I’m taking about Lee (or Leigh is it?) @puffinclouds. I, as well as many others are a major fan of his work. Just by browsing the forum here you will see the various glowing reports he has received and the effort he has put in to accumulate a growing fan base. Not only have I had the pleasure of tasting his juice (oooh eeer!) but he has helped me in many ways through my vaping journey so in return I feel it is only fair that I spend the time to review the juices and give credit where it is most definitely deserved. Now after such as gratuitous introduction you may well think that this review is biased, however it is solely down to the excellent efforts put in to create fine juice that I am giving such credit. I have no ulterior motive and all the opinions in this review are mine and are genuine, as I’m sure will become clear if you choose to read on. I purchased all the juices myself bar the 3 citrus flavours (which I shall explain later).

As the picture entails, all the juices were tested using a MXV4 with a dual coil build reading 0.25ohms and roughly 70w.

Liquid Doughnut

My first taste of Dripworx was the liquid doughnut after reading such brilliant reviews on POTV. I was previously dubious about doughnut liquids as I had tried another doughnut which contrary to the name I did not love! It was ok, but I think the label doughnut (or donut in that case) was misused. This juice however was quite the opposite. Within a second of my first toot my eyes widened and the little voice inside my head was screaming ‘WOW!!!’. I was almost shocked, I turned to the missus giddy with excitement, she frowned and walked off!!! I took a second hit and really concentrated on the flavour, the thought of someone syringe feeding me doughnuts crossed my mind. This was excellent, by far the most realistic juice I had taste to date (as we all know, many brands tend to exaggerate on their labelling and we’re left confused by the taste), on the inhale I was getting a lovely crisp sweet, almost sugar coated or crusted dough. This was carried through to the exhale where you’re met with a smooth sweet strawberry glaze. The flavour is epic on this one as is the texture. It’s smooth and silky (as a warning, you’ll hear that a lot in this review!) I vaped the 30ml bottle pretty much dry that night, only stopping to drop in at dripworx.co.uk to order 100ml of the stuff as well as some of the other range, it seemed silly not to off the back of this delightful creation.

So, the adventure continued a few days later with the arrival of the heavily awaited postman and my dripworx delivery. Along with the 100ml’s of LD, I had also ordered some Tea Time, Cremeberry and Strawberry Custard Cream.

Strawberry Custard Cream

I’m aware this review is precisely 540 words at this point so I’ll reel it in a little and get to the gist of it! Another top notch eliquid, the clues in the name really. On the inhale you’re greeted by a strong and very sweet strawberry, I use strong and very in a positive manner, it isn’t overpowering and it is also a natural flavour, not chemically as some others can be. On the exhale the strawberry lingers but it’s met by a divine creamy custard, a very creamy custard, it’s almost fluffy, it is very smooth and finishes the vape splendidly, spot on!

Cremeberry

The name on this one baffled me a bit at first, I naturally assumed berries and cream, which it is to an extent but there’s a twist. So, on the inhale you’re hit again by this strong natural taste of forest berries, blackberries, raspberries, almost like a jam or a Ribena cordial but not tart in any way. It’s a really nice flavour that is very moreish. The exhale is where the twist lies, after the instinctive ‘mmmm’ in my head from the taste of sweet berries I was expecting that dollop of fresh cream on the exhale. It’s smooth and silky as always but wait… There’s something different. I’m perturbed by this but only because I can’t put my finger on what it is. I try it again and I just can’t get, I’m staring vacantly at the bottle in my hand smacking my lips and then it hits me. I wasn’t sure at the time whether my brain finally deciphered it or I had just subconsciously read the name on the label again!!! Cremeberry as in crème fraiche, that’s what it is. It’s an almost savoury juxtaposition to the sweet berries and it works damn well, a bit like berries with a greek yoghurt. Another damn fine juice!!!

Tea Time

Another fantastic juice, shame about the name @Teatime! Again, in pure Dripworx style the description genuinely describes the flavour. I get a tickle on the inhale from the sweet cinnamon, now this is a good tickle (well I enjoy it anyway, which is odd as I hate being tickled), but be warned on a few occasions I’ve liberally juiced my wicks, taken a massive hit and coughed and spluttered. This in no way negates the awesome flavour of the juice but it’s cinnamon, that’s what it does. The best way I can describe this feeling is comparing it to mustard. You know when you eat too much of it during your Sunday lunch and it gets all up in your nose and you’re left with that feeling that is teetering right on the thin line between pain and pleasure?! Well that’s kind of what the cinnamon is like in this and for me, that’s a plus! On the exhale the cinnamon is still there and its joined by a smooth pastry, much like the cinnamon swirls you get from co-op or what have you. This is ace first thing with a cuppa! Forgot to mention, this is very similar to Muffin Man by OHW, sweet and cinnamon'ey. Both fantastic but TT doesn't gunk up your coils in the way MM does.

So, after receipt of this delivery I was most definitely a returning customer and had four new juices from a single vendor to add to my regular vape list. For me this was unheard of, I usually find juices hit and miss so I was very impressed with Dripworx at this point. During my usual haunting on the forum one day I got in to conversation with Lee and others about his juice range and it was at this point that I mentioned how happy I was with the ones I had tried and that I was tempted by the others (key lime cookie, Pink Lemonade and Lemon Biscuit) but there was something putting me off. I have tried various citrus flavours in the past and the majority just don’t agree with me. I don’t know what it is but they give me a scratchy throat, I have some reaction to them, nothing major but it takes the joy out of the vape. So I explained to Lee and the others this and said that if any of them have any of those flavours they want to offload then I’ll take them as I didn’t fancy paying full whack for 30ml’s of juice that I could quite likely use a ml of and be done with. The fellow apes laughed at me and told me to jog on, who would sell on any Dripworx! Lee however (probably aware that I was putting in regular orders! ;)) was clearly in a good mood as he offered me there and then free sample bottles of all 3 of the citrus flavours with my next order! What a good man, reiterating just how far he’ll go for his customers.

So, as I said citrus doesn’t agree with me in the vaping world, I have tried my best with these but they’re just not agreeing with me, a real shame as they taste great. I shall still review them though.

Lemon Biscuit

A lovely sweet and crisp Sicilian lemon on the inhale, there’s a slight fizz to it at times (almost like a sherbert) but it isn’t necessarily apparent and certainly not in your face. The lemon carries through to the exhale and is intertwined with a buttery biscuit. I can’t quite sum it up right but it tastes almost like macaroons to me!

Key Lime Cookie

A very cool refreshing lime inhale, tastes like a sweet or a drink that I clearly have some familiarisation with but I can’t pinpoint it. Regardless, it’s very nice but unfortunately this is one that really does agitate my throat, hence the rather thin review on this one!

Pink Lemonade

Again you’re met by that delicious sweet Sicilian lemon, It’s very sweet and refreshing and the lemon flavour carries through to an almost creamy exhale. This is a well-rounded flavour which isn’t sickly unlike another pink lemonade I’ve tried. This is may favourite of the three and the one that least aggravates my throat.

I won’t be buying these three again for the obvious reasons but don’t let it put you off if citrus juices don’t agitate your throat because that’s the only reason why it stops me.

After feeling content that I had tried the whole range it was a matter of days before Lee announced he would be introducing limited numbers of some new flavours, the White Label #CREAM range, or #DREAMCREAM! I naturally jumped on this like a fly on shit and ordered 60ml’s of #23 and #47. Now these are not your ordinary juices, they’ve been properly steeped, and I don’t mean 3 or 4 weeks, I mean 4-6… MONTHS! So yeah, proper steeped.

White Label #23

This stuff is epic. ‘Nuff said! It’s a custard and everyone loves a custard and it’s a beautiful custard too, very pronounced and flavourful but the real speciality to me is the creaminess to it. Its literally encased with a thick smooth cream that just makes this whole vape an utter delight. Creamy custard inhale with hints of decent vanilla and proper heavy, silky cream on the exhale. It leaves a film in your mouth (but in a good way) and allows you to continue to taste it a good few minutes after vaping, just like you’ve had a nice dessert.

White Label #47

Again, as above this stuff is 4-6 months steeped and is just splendid. On the inhale you’re smacked around the chops with a really natural punchy peach but its balanced then by the creamy silky smooth (there it is again) exhale which is similar across the White Label range (guess it’s all that time locked in a dark cupboard!). As above this lingers on the palate... Utterly splendid!

So that brings us to the here and now. I have literally in the past minutes opened the door to the postman who has delivered me the latest of the White label range as well as the first of Lee’s #Original range. Give me a minute to rewick and try them…

White Label #74

One again, a fantastic vape. I get creamy white chocolate cookie (the sweet chewy kind) on the inhale which is then followed by a raspberry bite before a smooth milky cookie exhale. What a lovely juice, I am a fan of white chocolate and it’s subtle but delightful, the candied raspberries really adds to it and once again it’s just so smooth and silky!

Edit: A few hours later and I'm 15ml through. This stuff is amazing, so frustrated I only ordered 30ml of it!!!

#Original Fizz Bomb

Wow! A fizzy tingly cola bottle taste on the inhale followed by a hint of lemon on the exhale (thankfully doesn’t seem to irritate my throat [emoji108]). It reminds me of the coke with a hint of lemon you used to see around. Very nice indeed and definitely reminds me of when I was a child... Or just when lemon Coke was around!

So that’s all folks! My review of what for me is the best range out there at this present time. Top work from a fellow ape, kudos!

Leigh at Plumeblu?

I reckon three rounds of fisticuffs, naked and covered in exotic oils should settle it and in the event of a draw you both have Ralgex sprayed onto your tackle and the first one whose face shows any reaction loses.

Have you seen the size of Leigh? :D ( @PlumeBlu )

I dunno, i'm just taking a punt………...How do we know there isn't some Jekyll & Hyde action going on here? By day you're Lee but come the darkness you might morph into Leigh………that would liven the place up a bit!
