So, I have an AGA T - bought second hand from here. I've had it since Monday and every evening I try something else having left the previous attempt over night to settle.

Can I get the bugger to wick? Can I hell!

I've tried with the stainless wicks that came with it - they don't wick

I tried with 3mm silica - that don't wick

Now I'm on cotton - and guess what that don't wick either. A nice thin bit of cotton, like they say, less is more with cotton.

Whichever coil I've tried, once the primer juice has gone the coils start to glow which means there's no juice getting to the coil.

How does the juice get drawn up the wick?

All the coils I've built have been fine and when primed with juice all of the above wicks have kicked out loads of vaper but they very quickly dry up.

I've tilted it, turned it upside down but I can't get juice to the coil. I've left it over night to give it a chance to drag the juice upwards.

Wicks - all of the above are loose ish in the coil, certainly not strangled.

My only remaining theory is that I'm using 100% VG juice and maybe its too thick to wick?

Any suggestions? Is it my juice? Is there some kind of secret handshake I need to do before I understand the ways of a gennie type atty?

Its pissing me off to be honest - long live the simple dripper!!!

Help.......

Cheers

This stuff works well. http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/rico-fashion-summer-white/585331-1000

Dave Dorn from VTTV was using it, in a similar attie. Loop it over, out the wick hole and back down through the fill hole. Works well on my AGA-T.
I am using 50/50 though, so that will have an effect on the wicking.
You could try diluting the 100% vg with a little distilled water, just to thin it a little. That will help.

ok here's what you do 1.remove atty from mod 2.open window 3.launch atty out the window 4.no more stress:drool:

There's far too much patience needed for my liking with genesis atomizers.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm fairly convinced that its the 100% VG that is causing the issues - so I'll try adding some water to see if that helps any.

Thanks

Have you left the fill hole open, it needs to get air in the tank to replace the juice. The wick should be tight enough in the coils so you can move it, but it cant move on its own and not be tight in the deck hole and not resting on the bottom of the tank. I feel the drill bit method is the easiest to star with and use it most of the time my self. Some people like to have a hollow wick and some like to cut the bottom at an angle.

I only vape PG liquid so can't advise on all VG, but would state that ss rope with single layer mesh cap (2 mm for the AGA T) wicks much better.

Good luck, once you get it you will look back and think that wasn't so hard.

Simple check to see if its the VG,warm the juice up in the tank(dunno how you'd do it)& then see if it wicks. If it does, add water as offered earlier.I have a bottle of home-made strawberry (Boots VG is almost as thick as cool candle wax at room temperatures)that was meant to go in the dripper, but I mistakenly added it to the tank on my Aga-S,and I had to keep it firing for a minute or two to warm the metal tank up before it would wick through mesh.
