dry tasting juice

so I got a mystery box a couple days ago and a few of the juices I've tried so far are, for lack of a better word, dry.

it's not burning cotton, the vape being produced has no flavour and a dry feeling to it.

any ideas?

Any ideas why it tastes dry or any ideas how to stop it tasting dry?


Some flavourings do taste dry, nuts, tobaccos, some bakeries. I like it, it gives the vapour a more 'smoke-like' quality some how.

more why it's tasting dry.

all my tanks are coiled and wicked as I have been doing about the same Ohm readings, and using same wattage. it's almost like the juices are pure VG/PG with no flavouring.
I emptied a tank of one of these juices and filled it with an older juice, and once the wick got through the dry stuff the flavour came through from the older juice, so it's not the cotton/coil

They might be... what's brands did you get in this 'mystery box'? .. is it all old stuff they couldn't get rid of? some flavours can fade quite significantly over time.

this is what I've tried so far

Bubblegum - sour lemon apple, exp 05/21 - dry liquid
yogi farms - pineapple ice - exp 09/21 - dry liquid
waffle hut - strawberry waffle - exp 01/24
coil candy - choco crunch - exp 12/23
one of the last two smells like tobacco

some flavour concentrates are deliberately formulated to taste dry. flavorah virginia is like puffing a pile of dry straw, for example. not even like a flavour, it drains you of moisture. but it’s strange that the flavours you mention would taste dry.

I knew I was taking a chance, I'm hoping I just got unlucky with the first few I opened. I've come round a bit with the choco crunch one. still got 6 to open yet so hopefully I get 2/3 that are decent enough. but probably won;'t be trying a mystery box again
