Hi Folks!

I am currently vaping with a Smok AL85, I sub ohm using a 0.4 ohm and 60W however I am finding that my batteries are running down a bit too quickly for my liking so looking at potentially changing to a dual battery mod.

I love the smaller form factor of the al85 and I am not after any of the larger box mods that are on the market. I know that obviously it will need to be a larger to accomodate two batteries instead of one so some compromise is needed.

I've looked at the minikin v2 which seems to fit the bill quite well buts its a pricey piece of kit so looking to see if there is anything more cost effective?

As a side note, I use samsung 30Q and fogstar 3500 for the al85, I notice that the mod registers battery low on the fogstar ones when down to about 30%, I assume its because the mod can't handle the higher capacity batteries?

Hi mate. My favourite is a Wismec RX 2 20700. It came with 2 20700 battery's, Ampking, and it's still my favourite after months of use.
Was using it today with a Scion tank and Plexus coils, awesome combo. It does take 18650's using a sleeve but has a slight, not enough to trigger my "I hate battery door movement" which i do hate, but it is there and I can live with that slight movement if I needed to use them. But is my favourite removable battery mod. Even though I hate removable battery mods.
There, clear as mud.

Hi OP,

Do you need to vape at 60w? Only asking as I run 0.4-0.5’s at 20-30w generally.

The double wismecs as previous poster said are a solid bit of kit. I’ve considerd the 2/3 version on many occasions.
You mentioned the minikin but have you come across the lustro?

The 2/3 is a really solid mod .

no it's because the 3500mAh cells are 10A, you shouldn't be running those as 60w, when your battery runs down you'll be pulling around 15-20A, that's why you are getting a low battery warning too soon, you are asking too much of them.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks

I've picked up some LG HG2 batteries which should hopefully give me some improvement with its higher amperage

I have also made a change from the baby smok tank to the Uwell Nunchaku and currently vaping at 40w so again I should hopefully see some improvement in battery life and also its a bigger tank which is a plus!

I'll keep these suggestions in mind regarding the mod though as I do think its something I will look at in the near future :)
