i'm going to have a bash at dual coiling, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction with regards to resistance/ohms.i've watched a couple of tuturiols on ohms law,and get the general gist of it,but theres one thing i'm not 100% on.when measuring with a multimeter,is the reading per coil or total resistance-ie i get a reading of 1.2 ohms, does this mean i'm getting 1.2 per coil(0.6 total) or 1.2 total(2.4 per coil) ? or have i got this completely wrong ?
cheers...

I am far from an expert but yeah when u duel coil ur resistance of each coil is half'd. So ur coils are.. 2.4ohms each & when set up on ur rda it halfs ur resistance so ur over all res is 1.2.

If u are experiment'n with coils I'd advise gets an ohms checker!

sound bit of advice there,i did think about one,but after a bit of reading up i decided to go for a multimeter, which by all accounts tend to give a more accurate reading than ohm checkers.
right off to make a cuppa and play with some coils:flames:

The ohm checkers are precise to 0.01 I'm pretty sure and a Multi meter is the same, i own both but the main advantage of a ohm tester is that it can be used as a base to build on instead of say using a mod and always making sure it's off, so for safety and ease of build an ohm tester is what use most.

Yeah I'd say an ohms checker is a pretty good purchase to make for building and checking
