I think I read a critique of it the other night. Take a group of people who have repeatedly failed to quit using every available option and then act surprised when they also fail to quit using ecigs. Poor sample group with no control group.

Got to hand it to them, it does take incredible will power to keep smoking these days ...

When I was incorrectly diagnosed with lung cancer last year I didn't see the point in giving up to be honest, as I thought it was a death sentence. When the diagnosis was changed after several months of procedures I quit immediately as I felt i'd been given a second chance.

That's a good point SimonB2008, the elderly lady (mid eighties) round the corner from me asked if my setup was any good, but when I explained how easy it was to give up and how cheap it was, she just shrugged her shoulders, "what difference would it make now" she said puffing away on a cigarette.

Studies like these are just there to get headlines and more importantly funding!
