Hello, im pretty new to vaping and have started making my own e liquid has im very disappointed in the ready made ones ive tryed from different websites

i got myself a mixing kit and two flavors liquorice and blueberry, i noticed that none of the flavorings smell of anything, is this normal ?

so i made 4 different mix

1 10ml blueberry 15% flavor 50/50 pg/vg 18nic
1 10ml liquorice 15% flavor 50/50 pg/vg 18nic
1 30ml blueberry 20% flavor 70/30 pg/vg 20nic
1 30ml liquorice 20% flavor 70/30 pg/vg 20nic

shacked them for 30 secs each, left them in cubboard for 24hrs lids off, put lids on left for a week

after first week they have not changed colour and they still taste of nothing

i used e juice me up calculator for the mix, am i doing something wrong or are the flavorings no good

How long have you been vaping?

Those percentages sound right...

What are you using to test the e-liquids? A dripping atty?

ive been vaping about a month now, i tested them today with my tiny dripping atty
ive sent an email to the people i bought it from surly the concentrates should smell like what they are ment to be

there is a local stall in my town that sells vip liquids there liquorice is very nice so i have a good idea of what it should taste like
only prob with this stall its like £7 for 10ml im too cheap for that lol

Not entirely true... concentrates dont always smell like they should.. after all they are condensed flavours of something we are used to in weaker forms.

My idea? You're new to vaping and at that stage where your body is going through all kinds of unfelt and unseen changes due to not smoking. This includes muted taste buds (or vapers tounge) we all go through it at some point and sometimes repeatedly.

Get a good strong Menthol and some strong mouthwash or toothpaste to kick your buds back into gear and see if that helps.

if am reading right you said the concentrates dont really smell of anything ?

they should be quite strong smelling even before you mixed them if not I would not have used them and spoke to the vender straight away

k thanks for help, just had a good sniff of concentrates again got a very very faint smell, will leave them for another week see what happens, vendor says that the liquorice is one of the strongest flavors they sell.
ill have to bash me tongue up getting working again lol
