To try vaping I bought a Tornado-T, that my husband promptly stole whilst I was waiting for new liquid to arrive, so I orderded an Ego 650mah CE5 V3 Single Kit (I don't want to say from who beacuse I don't want it to seem like I've just come here to bitch about a vendor when the issue is, more than likely, my fault anyway! lol). It arrived today with the new liquids I had bought to try as I hadn't liked the one tht came with the Tornado-T. It arrived to day and I set it all up with one of the new liquids and after charging had a good ol' vape. Taste was much better (though obviously I'm still figuring out the inhale etc). The instructions tell you not the allow the liquig to go below 0.6ml so I added up to 0.8ml, had a couple vapes and then emptied the liquid back out into the original container. The next liquid was a 50/50 blend and its here it all went a bit wrong. After a few vapes I stopped getting anything from it. Then it worked again, then it didn't and so on.

I took the 50/50 blend out wondering if it had been to thick for clearomiser I have and put another liquid in (not sure if a blend so assume all PG??) Its the same still, works then not. But now when it works the vape feels bubbly and whistly; like its really trying hard to chug it through? I have seen some liquid on the top of the battery connection but no more than I've seen on the tornado.

How do you think I've done this? Trying too many liquids or the VG being too thick? I'm assuming the atty part does work as it will fire on occasion. Also I'm looking for a new clearo but on vapeescape I don't know which ohm one to buy. I did prefer the few puffs of 50/50 that I had so would probably prefer to stick to a blend of that sort- which ohm should I get for that? I'm still looking at the Vision ego V3 clearo's.

Thanks
btw, this what I got (clickable)

Hi and welcome, when you cleaned out the clearomizer did you unscrew the mouthpiece, disassemble and wash under the tap and did you blow it through before you refilled it? I used to get a little bit of juice/water on the top of the battery after cleaning. Used a tissue to clean out the battery connector. After a couple of wipes it wouldn't do it until the next juice change.

Is your battery fixed voltage at 3.7 or is it variable with 5 clicks. If it's fixed I'd go for 2.4ohm replacement heads. Hope this is of some help :)

Fill level looks OK in the piccie, try and keep it upright as much as possible also :)

When you say your not getting anything from it, are you getting a burnt taste instead?

No, no taste at all for 99% of the time. This morning, for example, I took a vape and it worked then one of my kids called me in (yeah, I vape outside lol) and when I came out a minute or so later nothing. Can't hear the sizzly noise or anything. Take a vape a bit later and it may work one or two times then nothing! I've been into town this morning and bough a DCT (though it looks daft because the shop only had the 6ml ones in and I'm using and Ego battery lol). That's working fantastically now. Can you think of anything I may have done to break it, intermittently?

Thanks to all for your help! :D

Sounds like a problem with it connecting to the battery, if the post which pushes against the battery connector has moved a little it may not be reaching it. I think there is a way of pulling the post but personally I wouldn't recommend doing it in case it breaks something. You will enjoy the DCT, it's what I'm currently using. You can buy a 6ml cone to screw on the battery which helps make it look less silly ;)

Check the centre pin :) common issue with an ego. Also check the centerpin on the CE5 (connection side) and wiggle them out just a wee bit :)

The DCT is great... downside is I haven't put it down yet :D

lol, thank you both for your help. I had heard of the centre pin issue (your video was great! Thank You) but I also tried the CE5 on my husbands battery and it did the same thing on there also. Will have a wiggle with the centre pin on the CE5 itself and see if that helps.

Thanks again
