Has anyone soldered a new switch to an ego board? I'm Just wondering if its possible to bypass the led button switch without removing it from the board.
I strongly dont recommend any kind of modifications to the internals of an ego unless you know what you are doing. The batteries themselves can be very volatile if disturbed or damaged.
@teeduhb The two pins to the side of the micro switch are where you would make the connection but depending on the ego PCB the LEDs could be either part of the microswitch, directly below the plastic button or on each side of the microswitch as part of the PCB
If you can please post a picture of the one you want to make adjustments to, that will help
EDIT: I agree with @KulrMeStoopid if you have no experience with electronic circuit boards and battery connections etc, this is not something I would recommend for someone with no experience
Also beware of opening it as the wires themselves are as thin as a bloody dog-hair & more brittle than an egg-shell so they break off with the tiniest movement.
