Hi guys,

total noob here. I've been vaping the last few days on an Ego T battery and a Kangertech Protank that my mate was kind enough to lend me.

I'm looking to get my first Vaping kit and any advice / thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I've been looking at either an EVOD 650 kit, or a Joyetech Ecom. Does anyone have any experience with these at all? What was your experience of them, and would you recommend them?

I'd also like to know where the best places to buy them from? Ideally I'd like to get the genuine articles too, not 3rd party stuff.

Thanks again for the help people.

:)

My advice would be to skip the whole Ego thing altogether because the chances are your not gonna stop there, don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with the Egos but you can get the Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 with an iClear30 Dual Coil Clearomizer from http://myepack.co.uk for £34.99. Better battery, up to 10 watt output, and it will read your resistance if you get into building your own coils. They are the genuine article, not clones.

Don't know what an Ecom is, but I wouldn't go for a 650 kit. Battery life is shite. From my experience, I'd stay away from kits totally. I don't find em value for money. For a new vaper, the evods are great but I'd go for a better battery, a 1100 or 1300 ego twist x2 cuz you always need a spare when the other is charging.

Just looked at the Ecom on google images and if the pictures are anything to go by, it'll be shit. Looks like a Biro.

Cheers Scoff.

I've found a kit with 2 variable 1000Mah batteries now. Think I'm gonna go for that, with the EVOD head.

2 x 1000 mah will be sound. I don't think you can go wrong with evods. Me & the misses both started vaping last June & she still only uses evods. If you vape just to pack the fags in, then they are a perfect substitute.

If you do go for the EVOD, consider buying a pyrex tank as well as the polycarbonate ones that come with the EVOD are prone to cracking with some juices.

This.

For £34.99 I don't think you can do better. You'd spend way more on small batteries and starter kits before buying something like this anyway!

I ordered the evod already... Oops :P

Well, not really oops. I want to get into this as a hobby, and want to try out a variety of units too.

The itaste MVP V2.0 does look interesting. I have no idea about wattage though. Something I need to learn about.

I did save a couple of quid on the evod thanks to the discount code from here, so thanks POTV. So far finding this place epic.
