Finally got my itaste SVD... Was too excited.. Connected the evod and then was disappointed! If I increase the wattage beyond 7.5-8 watts.. Get a burnt taste... It currently has a 2 ohm coil... New one.. Am I doing something wrong? PL help! Same result with the protank !

modestvaper most people find that their 'sweet spot' is around the 7.5 - 8 watts :)

Personally, because I like more dessert type e-liquids, I stay around the 6 watts :)

Ya... That's what I was hoping for... But a burnt taste indicates smting wrong in the way I am using the equipment? Not sure what! :(((((

just turn it down a bit mate. it will taste burnt if its set to high. i also use the svd with evods and run between 5 to about 8 tops before getting a burnt taste, your just running to high thats all

Nothing wrong with the way you are using it, every e-liquid will have a different 'sweet spot' in watts and of course your taste buds :D

Some atomisers will wick (get e-liquid) slower than others, this can cause a burning taste too, did you re-coil the head in your evod yourself or is it a stock head?

Check that it's getting enough airflow as well. Air on an SVD for eGo threaded devices comes through the 2 little holes in the top ring. Check they're not blocked somehow. You could try taking that ring off completely.

E-Liquid shouldn't burn at about 8watts thogh some of the more delicate flavours do. Every liquid has it's own sweet spot.

Oh ya... Thanks guys.. I am using the snake oil.. By far my favorite.. Reduced the wattage n it works well at around 6.5 watts... Was thinking I am doing smting wrong considering most discussions here point towards 8..

Am using the stock heads.. Not up there yet to build my own!

If this is the case... Then for what combination will I get to use the higher wattage? Any suggestions? Of course the ultimate aim is to get loads of vapour! :D
