Does anyone like FA layton blend? I mix this at 24mg, 3% to use in pods when I’m out and about. I’ve never tried it at lower nic strengths, but plan to mix some up at 12mg.

I find this flavour quite excellent, it changes quite a bit over time, and has a flavour that I would describe as fruity, yet creamy, on top of the fairly mild tobacco base. It’s another one of those FA head scratchers, that tastes of something very familiar that one can’t quite put one’s finger on. But very, very good.

yeah, I liked it when I made a tester .... quite smokey I thought.

Not really played around with it yet though...

I dug a bit deeper for some notes and found the below. Looks to be a very versatile flavour.

FA Layton Blend This flavor tastes different at different percentages! You will find wildly-conflicting descriptions of this flavor online, but hopefully these notes will help clarify why, and help you use Layton's chameleon flavor to your advantage. Fine-tuning your percentage and vaping power is key. Layton is a complex tobacco flavor and an agreeable mixer. The tobacco flavor is mild, smooth, not very 'dark', but definitely tobacco. The tobacco bit stays unchanged from under 1% to at least 5%. However, all the other flavor notes vary by percentage, with major flavor changes around 1%, 3%, and 5%. Mixing less than 1% of Layton with other flavors adds a gentle, subtle coolness that's very useful to brighten and smooth dark, spicy, or pipe-like flavors. Under 1% standalone, you'll taste fairly neutral, mild, smooth tobacco flavor, and little else. Over 1% standalone gives you some distinct coolness. This isn't 'menthol' - just something cool and minty. Vaping at low power brings out a mystery-sweetness you'll find difficult to identify under 2%. It isn't honey or caramel, and there's no spiciness to it. Over 1% standalone and using higher power, the mystery-sweetness becomes a subtle, general fruitiness. At 3% standalone, the sweet-coolness is accentuated and begins to taste like clove, sweet on the tongue during inhale. The vague fruity notes become mixed citrus. At 5% standalone, some anise joins the clove. I suspect Layton may be among the most useful and versatile of FA's tobaccos for blending. It’s certainly a complex blend of flavors with lots of interest. If a tobacco blend is too dark, heavy, spicy, or bold for you - try it with a little Layton.

Yes @Simon G I find it quite smoky, but yet not too strongly tobacco like, if that makes sense. Like a mild tobacco taste with a cream/fruit note and a smokiness about it.

@Horrand thanks, I’ll definitely mix some at 12mg and different flavour concentrations. I really like it, I’d recommend picking this one up.

I quite like it, but I haven't found a tobacco yet that I like on its own, so I've used it mixed with a couple of others and some fruits.

Have you tried the maxx blend on it’s own @Ment ? I love it. You can go quite high with the percentage, it doesn’t really get sickly or overpowering. Atmos Labs do one, maxxx blend, which is similar but even better.

That's my next project, to try some Atmos Labs. I think I have enough concentrates to last me a while so I'll save my budget as they're a bit pricey.

I did a stock check the other day, and I have over 5 litres of concentrates, 150 different flavours, over 300 counting the different brands. It's really getting out of hand.
