A big cloud filled hello to you all,
I've been reading topics on these forums for as long as I can remember but I've finally got around to creating an account so I can participate.
I've been vaping since 17th October 2012 and really did switch over night. I followed a regular path of cig-alikes, egos & then onto a Vamo & various other mods since, but always regulated mods.
My current carry everywhere is a Provari 3 with one of a plethora of Subtank Minis on the top. Also regularly using a recently acquired Sigelei Fuchai 200W, but that is reserved for my more "experimental" builds. The P3 does fine for me with my usual builds which tend to be somewhere in the 0.7 to 1 Ohm range and the Fuchai (with a Smok TFV4) tends to eat through the batteries & juice at a faster rate than I like when I'm out and about so that tends to stay at home.
I've been making my own coils for ages now, started off recoiling vivi novas and progressed to various rebuildable decks from there. Kind of settled on the Subtank Mini as it does the job for me. I like the convenience of a tank over a dripper, although I do have a couple of drippers knocking around.
I also make most of my own juice although that is something I only really got into last autumn. I do occasionally give in to temptation and buy some Key Lime Cookie or Kryptonite
Vaping down at 3mg these days after starting out on 18mg. The Sub-ohm tanks are largely responsible for that. I'm not too bothered about taking it down lower than that, although I do keep toying with the idea of going to zero.
Greatly concerned about the effects of the TPD and yes, I've signed every petition there was against that. Please feel free to point me at more
I was smoking for around 20 years, like many I'd tried everything going to try and quit before - short of hypnotherapy, I didn't like the idea of someone monkeying around in my head. Shortly before discovering vaping I'd tried the NHS quit line thing again, went along for my first "consultation" was dismayed to discover they were just going to throw patches at me again but tried - yet again. Went back for my first weekly "check up" only to find my "consultant" hadn't bothered to show. I'd been back on the nasties for 3 days before that anyway. Fortunately discovered vaping shortly after that experience and have never looked back. So a bit over three years vaping & only wish I'd found it earlier.
Non vaping background : Male, 48 years old, married with a daughter approaching her 13th birthday (who is delighted her dad discovered vaping). I work in IT for a retail chain. I'm a very keen photographer (own way too many cameras, both film & digital), like a wide range of music and enjoy the local music scene in Leicester. Big fan of the likes of Genesis (hence my user name here),Led Zeppelin, Elbow, Nick Drake, Hawkwind, Porcupine Tree but will listen to just about anything (not too keen on rap or country & western).
Guessing that will do for an introduction & I look forward to getting involved on the forums. There's always something new to learn in the vaping game
